Relaxed, casual atmosphere with wonderful color all over the walls. Tons of places to sit. I ordered takeout from here, and it was ready when I picked up. This location also has a drive-thru window. I ordered a beef sambus which was a perfectly golden pastry with beef, peppers, and spices inside. Not spicy but very flavorful. I also ordered the goat with bariis rice, salad, and plantains. Medium spicy sauce on the side was a great addition. Tons of flavor. I would come back here.

While in the area for work, I needed a quick place to grab lunch and Afra Grill more than fit the bill. Going with a Build Your Meal, the spicy peanut chicken with plantain, beans, and babaas sauce was the kind of food that I was looking for, something other than yet another burger joint. I also strongly recommend the hot tea—a masala milk tea that I nursed all afternoon.

Great meal! I got a vegetarian combo, with jollof rice, plantains, and Afra spice sauce. Nice level of spice and excellent value.

Only weird thing was how I was charged for tap water. Not many places do that.

My favorite restauranttttt, I always get the Chicken Afra and that jollof rice is just …. they changed the menu a little bit which made me sad, but they still have the main thing I get and it slaps every time. And I didn’t see the option for Kachumbari when I ordered online, but I got it mixed in with lettuce, so I was happy again. And I can be healthier.
I really should try something else but my taste buds are just satisfied with what I always get. Maybe I can try the oxtail sometime the beef sanbus is always good too

Delicious and hearty comfort food with generous portions. I had the (surprisingly giant slice of) salmon, it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Relieved to learn that both Bariis and Jollof Rice rice are vegetarian. I chose Bariis to avoid too much spice, it was savory and satisfying. The veggie mix was mildly spicy and perfect over the rice. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant!

Very nice restaurant. Not too big but rather quite intimate to a degree. I had the goat and I can still kind of taste it til this day lol. My lady thought her jerk chicken was a tad bit too spicy but I thought hers was good as well. Staff was friendly. Helped us figure out what to order since it was our first time there. I will definitely be back here. Keep up the good work!

Excellent African/Somali food joint. The atmosphere has an energetic and homey vibe. Good music in ambience. The staff seemed like they were still learning the ropes of customer service. The server was a bit rude in way she talks to customers, with it being hard to hear her with the loud sounds, she gets frustrated when repeating her words. The gentleman at the cashier was very humble and nice. The food was so delicious. Our party ordered a few build your own plates and half dozen of the beef sambus. Only complaint is that some of the food is cold by time you sit and eat. The Mango Lassi is very refreshing. The spiced tea was very good as well. The spicy chicken is truly spicy, I handled it but if you are sensitive to spice, go for the traditional chicken. They have many other proteins too such as goat. The variety of sauces is plentiful. Will return to try more. Highly recommend to try this place out!
