The ice cream is clearly homemade—rich, creamy, and worth the visit on its own. The cookies-n-cream was packed with easily 50% cookie, which is nothing like the versions you usually find. Every dish arrives with a small American flag, adding to the nostalgic charm. They even serve popcorn alongside the ice cream (though ours was a bit stale).
They also offer a full food menu if you’re looking for more than dessert. Overall, it’s a fun, nostalgic place that has been part of the community for generations.
I went with my family for my niece’s birthday and we had the best time. We came just for ice cream and the options were endless….They have everything from fat free yogurt, sugar free ice cream and toppings, vegan ice cream, and non dairy sorbets to the classic flavors, so choosing was almost impossible! Lol!
The atmosphere feels like a carnival with unique decorations everywhere. The hostess and servers were extremely sweet and attentive and they even bring out fresh popcorn when you sit down which I loved.
This place is iconic in South Florida and the ice cream quality is amazing. I ordered the hot fudge banana split and it was SO big I had to share, and the kids enjoyed their sundaes made exactly how they wanted.
We will definitely keep coming back!
The food is just plain yummy, making it a great spot not only for dessert but for a full meal as well. Then comes the ice cream… wow. The presentation alone is incredible… over-the-top, fun, and absolutely unforgettable before you even take the first bite.
This iconic spot has been around since the 1950s, and the vintage décor is part of the magic. The space is filled with incredible memorabilia like Tiffany lamps, old-school license plates, vintage advertisement posters, and real household trinkets from decades past. It felt like stepping into a time capsule.
What made it even more special was how engaged my kids were… they couldn’t stop asking questions about all the items that predated them by nearly 70 years! Fun, nostalgic, and delicious all in one place.
Expect long wait times with large groups waiting for tables or even takeout!
We splurged and ordered the banana split and you get to choose which flavors you want! Ice cream was creamy with natural flavors!
Definitely go to Jaxson’s!!! They have been publicized many times for their ice cream and the famous kitchen sink sundae which serves 1 pound ice cream
