Had an early dinner for 4, earlier today. Had the enchilada dungenous crab, lobster and shrimp, the carne tampiqueña which included a shrimp enchilada, a chicken taquito, refried beans, 8oz new york steak, the fideo del mar, included dungenous crab claws, shrimp, scallops, and the tablero which came with carnitas, aracherra skirt steak, guacamole, salsa, rice/refried beans. —-not impressed, way over priced for mexican rice and beans! The tomatillo sauce for the enchiladas way to acidy, would had preferred a serrano chile sauce instead, the salsa with the chips was actually good. The carnitas was plain bo taste, no sazon, not even salty of seared, or citrusy. The guac could use more onions and cilantro and lime juice and salt. Had to ask for a salt shaker.
Again food was lacking sazon, flavor, sabor! We ordered desert and took about 30 minutes to bring out, had to even ask our waiter for an eta for our desert.
Location sucks! Construction lanes closed, next to the graffiti plastered highrise abandoned buildings from the chinese developers. Volume of music was good not too loud, quiet and relaxin unlike other Javier’s.
Wish food would had been better tasting, for a group of 4 came out to $560.00

Our small group was there for a celebration lunch. I parked in front of the building with a vallet. It was $25. This equals to a cost of a meal that I am comfortable with. And apparently this is a discounted rate. Without validation it is $40. I walked in annoyed. As I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is stunningly beautiful. Contemporary, clean lines, but the arches everywhere make it soft and feminine. Definitely Mexican, although there is nothing folcloric about it. ( Hugs to the interior designer). I am a pretty simple person, and, although I was initially offput by the price of the dishes ( it was more then the parking, naturally), the food ( I got Cabo Azul, which is lobster enchilada, crab staffed Chile relleno, and a shrimp taco) was really delicious and of a good size. Everything was great about it- presentation, texture, flavor. The starter chips and salsa were tasty and non-greasy. Guacamole ( we shared) was great. The cost of our meals was easily $75-100. Main dish items were typically over $50. We did not order steak ($220), but everything was super delicious. Even tap water was good ( for me poorly tasting water can spoil a meal). I can’t stop telling my family and friends and definitely want to come back. Javier’s won me over.

Fancy Latino place in DTLA. So first off even though the address is on Figueroa it’s around the corner. This place is definitely perfect for posting pics from. The food and service are also quite good. The steak picada was yummy with a good amount of meat. Also great selection of appetizers. I didn’t know what it’s called but the melted cheese was very good. Food is on the pricier side but is definitely good. The fried ice cream was also a good dessert. Would recommend. There are several lots around but be mindful since it’s right by the convention center.

This restaurant is very beautiful and well designed. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We were a big group and they didn’t mess up a single order. The drinks were really good and strong. The food was delicious and flavorful. Lobster enchiladas and Mole Verde were incredible. My only wish is that they would make fresh tortillas. For being a high end Mexican restaurant that is not cheap, it’s sorta a bummer they don’t make fresh tortillas. The ambiance is great, very busy on weekends and very loud so if you’re expecting a quiet romantic dinner you might not like it. Overall, we all really enjoyed Javier’s and would return. But PLEASE MAKE FRESH TORTILLAS!!!

We were in town for the auto show and decided to seek out a.fun place to eat. Javier’s was it! The drinks were amazing. We opted to eat at the bar, the bartenders were great. The food, holy smokes, was delicious. I had pork carnitas, they were amazing and flavorful. My husband had the seafood trio. The pablano pepper was stuffer with crab and I believe lobster, they didn’t skimp! If you are in LA, you should definitely stop by. I almost forgot to mention the decor and building itself, it’s quite a treat.

Beautiful restaurant and great spot for people watching. This location attracts a trendy crowd. We sat at the bar and Jesus and Joey offered excellent service and recommendations. They offer complimentary chips and salsa which is amazing for a high-end restaurant. The bar seats were very comfy, we ordered the ossobucco which was sooooo good and the red snapper. We also got dessert. I requested a passion fruit margarita but the bar wasn’t able to make it, which was disappointing for an establishment of that caliber.

I’ve been waiting for this spot to open for a while and it was worth the wait.
When you enter, it’s a massive location and well put together. Probably the best interior I’ve been at in downtown LA for a restaurant.
Our server was Marie, she was excellent, very attentive, and helpful along with other staff members.
We started out with the esquite and I thought it was about average, I would have liked it more on the charred side as far as the corn kernels but still decent.
I had their steak salad “Endalada de asada” and it was phenomenal. Might be the greatest steak salad I’ve ever had with lots of cut pieces of steak, the flavor was excellent. I also had their seasonal fish “Pescado dorado”, it was also delicious, tender, and full of flavor. Their ceviche style dishes is phenomenal along with their guacamole. Chips and salsa is also excellent.
I had their cab forgot which one but it perfectly matched my food and it was excellent. To finish the night off we got the “Tres Leches” and a side of vanilla ice cream. The best version I’ve had so far!
Overall it was an excellent dining experience and look forward to this spot in the future. I’d definitely come back here again and check out their bar area to feel out the vibe.

I ate at the bar and it was a great dining experience, the bartenders were awesome and attentive. Solid customer service overall and you can tell they want to make sure you enjoy your meal/drinks.
Their fish of “Pescado Dorado” Luop De Mar was phenomenal and one of my favorite dishes so far.

Love this place!! It’s very very fancy. The inside is like sexy Miami meets LA. The staff is all super friendly (and attractive). They have an amazing tequila selection. The food was delicious as well. Our server, Sage was great! He was super knowledgeable about the menu, he checked in on us at the perfect times. He always made sure we had a drink in our hands. I recommend reservations, and parking is tricky. There’s a paid lot next to the restaurant or valet that’s like $45 everything we ordered was delicious and high quality. The fish and the steak. The guava cheesecake was pretty incredible as well.

Beautify restaurant. The ambiance was also impressive and loved the service. We showed up before the rush on a Friday and couldn’t be any more happier. I’ll definitely be going back.
If there’s anything to criticize is the parking lot. It’s a hassle unless you pay for valet. Everything else I loved.
I’ve been to Javiers in La Jolla, Newport Beach and now downtown LA. If I had to rate them, downtown LA is definitely my top choice so far.
