I know this place has some good reviews, but we came tonight on a Sunday at five. Service was great. The Verde green sauce for enchiladas had no flavor and the chicken was so burnt it actually tasted like bacon someone in our group had a ground beef burrito. There was no cheese so they brought cold shredded cheese. nobody finished their food. The couple as we were walking in. I asked how their food was. They said the steak for the fajitas was really tough. I’m a Minnesota girl and really don’t necessarily like space but nothing really had any flavor and I don’t have Covid. We were all kind of disappointed. Service was great though.

Javelina Cantina in Lake Havasu City is an absolute standout and a must-visit if you love authentic Sonoran-style Mexican food. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The beef tacos were perfectly seasoned and tender, the tamales were rich and comforting, and the skinny margarita was refreshing and well-balanced—dangerously easy to drink in the best way.
That said, my favorite surprise was the chips and salsa. Seriously outstanding. The chips were perfectly crisp, and the salsa had that bold, fresh flavor that keeps you reaching for “just one more.” The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the food feels genuinely authentic, and the overall experience was fantastic from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Javelina Cantina to anyone visiting or living in Lake Havasu City—this place is a gem.

Beautiful outdoor seating (dog friendly) overlooking the London Bridge and the channel. Perfect location. We had a taco salad, and a side salad with chicken, and one beer. All were delicious! Service was great! Prices were very fair. Overall impression was a 10+

Great location and nicely decorated. We ate on the deck which has exceptional views. The food came out fast and looked delicious. Unfortunately the chimichanga had too much chicken flavor (not spice flavor, chicken flavor). I’ve never tasted chicken with that much flavor so it put me off. I would’ve liked more spice flavor too. My wife had the wet red sauce on something and she said it tasted closer to tomato sauce. We didn’t finish our meal which is unusual.

We came in during our family vacation. A group of 14 adults and six children. Kiersten was our server. She was very gracious to each person at our table. She is a pro with large groups. Kiersten also kept the secret of not tell who paid for my sister’s meal (Thanks Kiersten ). Our food was served all at once. No one received their food later than others. We had a great view of London Bridge. From the patio you can walk down the stairs and walk under the bridge. I was served a well crafted margarita cocktail. My shrimp tacos were larger than expected and stuffed full of large shrimp. The shrimp tacos were served with rice and beans. I opted for all rice. Most of us took leftovers back to our hotel.

Very busy and service suffered as a result. Food was great, with happy hour drinks and daily specials.

Visited Happy Hour on Monday, 4/21.
Good friendly, helpful service by Janine!!
Ordered, initially, a house margarita on the rocks. Then, after I received it, I noticed they had Prickly Pear margaritas I asked for a “shot” of the “nectar” to pour into my existing margarita.
Janine obliged me without hesitation.
I ordered an appetizer of bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. It was well prepared, presented, and was very tasty!
As always, on a first-time visit to a Mexican restaurant, I ordered a cheese enchilada and pork tamal, al a carte.
If these simple items are well prepared, I can make the assumption that the rest of their menu is equally well done.
They were good and good-sized portions of both!!
Had another “Tuna margarita” with my entree. (“Tuna” is Spanish for prickly pear) It’s fun to loudly order a Tuna Margarita and watch the reactions all around.
Sat on the spacious deck with a great view of the neighboring London Bridge!!
Ordered a side of bacon for my pup!!
There were several other parties with dogs as well!
Obviously, dog friendly!!
The venue was moderately busy, but we weren’t rushed, and we were able to relax and enjoy the time, the food, the margaritas, and the view.
Stop in.
You won’t regret it!!

The food was extremely terrible. Will not be returning. The husband ordered the enchilada and tamale meal. It had no flavor and was mushy, I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side salad, nothing special here at all, no flavor, dry chicken. It was very slow on a Sunday Easter evening and very disappointed. $65 meal, only good things were the chips and salsa and the tie die margaritas. Server was good. Food terrible!!!
