Majority of our experience comes from experience in hospitality in Sydney before 2014 and in Mid North Coast Taree since 2014. Now also in Forster. Jashan Lounge’s menu is influenced and inspired by experience, knowledge, skill, passion, love and art for cooking. Majority of the menu is a combination of traditional and contemporary dishes from India. Our Head Chef Harinder has also added dishes that are enhanced, innovative and creative to leave tantalising taste on your tastebuds. As he always humbly says “We are just a medium of making people happy by providing delicious and authentic food”. We are a fully licensed restaurant with NO BYO

Great looking Indian restaurant with very nice furnishings and layout.
The food and drinks menu is good.
We ordered a prawns madras which was OK but not exceptional.
The beef vindaloo however was terrible, Its vinegar content was extremely overwhelming and very hard to eat. I understand a good vindaloo, I also understand vinegar is a base ingredient, but this meal wasn’t enjoyable at all. We had breads and rice also. Please don’t read this review and avoid the restaurant, Its not about that. Its the vindaloo that let down our experience.

I really enjoyed my visit to Jashan Lounge. The ambience was warm and welcoming, and the food was excellent. I tried a variety of dishes — Chicken Korma, Lamb Biryani, the Mix Platter, and their Eggplant Masala, which was absolutely to die for, especially with their delicious butter naan. They also have a good kids menu, and my kids loved the Butter Chicken. A great spot for both families and food lovers!

Amazing food and ambience. Loved the hospitality. Did not expect to get such good food far from Sydney. To be honest it was even better than Sydney. We ordered Kaju paneer Masala and Dal tadka both were delicious. Thank you for catering near the coast.

Beautiful, authentic Indian food. We attended this place last night with a large group of 20 people and all staff were very accomodating with all requests and sorting out the bill. The servings were decent size and the quality of the food was beautiful. Everyone in the group said their meal was lovely and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be back and would recommend this venue

Absolutely love this restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious. I’ve tried all other Indian places they do not compare at all. Jashan lounge is my number 1 restaurant to go to. Prices are reasonable, service is spot on. I’ve been going to the Taree restaurant for years and now I’m so excited for it to be in Forster. Exactly the same flavour and Hapri is such a lovely person! She puts in so much effort and is willing to have a conversation with you. Love supporting our local community.
