Excellent, fresh, top quality food at this restaurant. The drinks were great, happy hour appetizers were amazing, and the entrees were perfect. The red snapper special was probably the best fish I have had in over a decade and the service was also great. The flan was very good as well.

We saw this place on the Food Network a few years ago and had put it on our list of places to eat. Well it took a few years and an almost three hour drive to get to but it did not disappoint.
Our server was so nice and so very helpful, answering any question we had and did so with a smile. The building, both inside and out, are very clean and inviting. It is a small place where you can tell that the owner and the employees take pride in.
Then there is the food. WOW again!! The portions are generous and the flavor is WOW!! The seafood was all cooked masterfully and to perfection and everything was seasoned beautifully. The Ceviche Tostadas are a must have. I had never tipped the people that cooked our meal until this experience. It was that good.
If you find yourself in Kansas City and are looking for a great Lunch or Dinner, find this oasis. You will be glad you did. I know my wife and I will make the three hour drive here again in the future.

Everything was delicious! Fish and Rice cooked to perfection! I favored the garlic chili oysters over the stuffed. Cocktail was amazing! Service was excellent! We went right before closing and still received quality service and didn’t feel rushed! Will definitely return.

I thought this place wasn’t even opened! I looked it up and saw that Oysters were $1.50 on Thursdays—we were excited! We arrive and the waiter had said it would be a 45min wait which was okay for us. We stood there for a few minutes for him to seat us and he kinda ignored us. We literally had to tell him if we could sit. We sat there for a while and took our drink order. The coke was flat and our waters were brought towards the end of the meal. And the oysters…he said they were out (had given the last ones to the table that came after us) HOWEVER, they were other oysters available—the grilled ones. Service the food is way overpriced. $29 for the plate pictured below. The campechana had way too much onions. This was not a good experience for us and will not be returning.

My wife, a friend, and myself visited Jorocho’s in Kansas City, Kansas on a Wednesday evening for dinner. We had a dozen raw oysters and red snapper cevichi for appetizers, both were fresh tasting and delicious we highly recommend. Entrees were grilled lobster with oyster stew, 3 pound red Snapper, and the fresh scallops. All three were shared amongst us and all 3 received excellent ratings from presentation to taste. In fact the appetizers and entrees were that good we had to try the flan and church’s for dessert. They were of the same high quality as our other items. Also the margaritas with reposada tequila were excellent.
Isreal our server was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive to all of the tables he was serving. We left a tip for the chef too because it was that good.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place definitely lived up to it’s reputation! Large portions, everything cooked to perfection and the FRESHEST of ingredients! We had the specials -hamachi collar and snapper ceviche to start, followed by fried pompano, and langostines. Who knew there was anything this amazing in the Midwest?!

My family and I were visiting KC and decided to try Jarocho for dinner on Saturday night. Surprisingly it wasn’t busy and we were able to seat and order right away. Everything we ordered was delicious and the raw oysters were the most flavorful and one of the best ones I’ve had. The staff and waitress were very welcoming and friendly. This was the best meal we ate here in KC the couple of days we were in town. If we are ever I. The area again, we’ll be stopping back here for sure.
