This used to be one of the best places to eat, for some reason food quality dropped big time as well as the quantity, you get less for more.
Service is fast and they are professional but since they got this new CC machine they always trying to get you to tip even for to go orders, yesterday I was told my order is 21.53 and that what they ran my card for, I get home and I see a 22.18 transaction instead. I dont mind paying more for better food but Japanese express lost that edge and lost my business.

Food is surprisingly good and very affordable. I got the steak and shrimp fried rice, steak was amazing and the shrimp was good. Incredible portion size. I added photos of my meal before and after to show just how many leftovers I was able to take home. Definitely coming back. Only side not is that the place smells a bit like cigarette smoke, but not overwhelmingly.

The service was great, the prices are really good, and it was really great food. We got chicken/steak hibachi and it was so good, a really great portion size and it was seasoned very well. We also got some sushi rolls, and they were really good as well. Fantastic food, made even better by the price.

Placed an order to go and was underwhelmed by the quality vs price. I ordered the tempura asparagus appetizer, the Japanese egg rolls and the Godzilla roll. The 3 items were $24. The eggs rolls were an odd consistency and mushy the taste was ok but the the mushiness was definitely not appetizing. The tempura asparagus appetizer was ok but seemed more like from a frozen bag but then is a fast food type place so ok. The Godzilla roll was small and ok but not what I would expect. Overall the food was ok at best. With all of the other sushi restaurants around I believe there are better choices for the money.

Excellent little gem of a restaurant tucked away. It’s kind of like hibachi take-out, but you can also find in.
I had the hibachi steak with fried rice. It was a very pleasing comfort food – with a really good price for the portion you get. Absolutely loved it!

Love the food at Japanese Express! The service is fantastic too! Comfortable atmosphere, quick service, and excellent prices! My favorite is the Roll Tide Roll or the Lo Mien with shrimp or chicken or steak!

Really good! They offer Tofu, which is awesome because here in the south it can be tough to eat out and have “meat” alternatives. Second time eating here and I may make them a must have whenever I’m in the area. They can make some of their dishes Vegan.
