Insanely overrated bar. The bouncer is friendly and manages the asburd long line fairly well. However, once you’re inside, if you have any sort of common sense, class, or taste, you’ll immediately want to leave. The crowd has an attitude, everyone is bumping into each other, the music choice is atrocious, and the bartenders are in bad moods. The venue itself has a negative atmosphere, with bad lighting and nasty bathrooms. It doesn’t even have that “dive bar” label that could maybe excuse its nastiness. It’s just an all-around, horrible going-out spot. I genuinely don’t understand why this place incurs such long lines when there’s absolutely nothing on the inside that’s worth it. PLEASE re-consider going here. There are way nicer bars, believe me.

WARNING WILL CLAIM YOUR REAL ID IS FAKE!!! After waiting in line for 10 minutes in 40 degree weather the bouncer refused to let me claiming my real ID was fake and justifying it by saying “it just feels different I don’t know” I offered for him to call the cops to confirm it was real only for him to tell me the cops can’t verify ID’s even though I was trying to work with him to figure out a way to prove to him my ID is real he proceeded to give my friends and I attitude and a rude demeanor it was very upsetting to be treated as such I’ve heard good things about this bar so I was super excited only to be turned away for no other reason than the bouncer not knowing the difference between a real and fake ID 🙁

I used to really like this place. Some really nice people. Until they hired some guy named Varun. Super rude. Was told by the bouncer I could bring in my leftovers and once inside. Varun took it upon himself to snatch them without good reason. Mind you I didn’t even have them open. I proceeded to grab them and it made him angry. This time he proceeded to throw the directly into the trash. At this point I was no longer gonna eat them but the principal of it all disturbed me. I grabbed them from the can and he proceeded to grab me from my shoulders and say “it’s time to go buddy.” The hostility was so uncalled for. My friend group as witness saw the whole thing unfold. Had been favorite place for years. All the other bartenders are great.

Me and my friends had a great time at Goodfellows tonight! The bar was manned by good fellows, one named Mike took especially good care of us. I had a delicious pickleback and I even heard my favorite song, Levitating by Dua Lipa. I also enjoyed a PBR and a tequila shot! Thank you Goodfellows for a great night and thank you Mike for being a fantastic bartender and always greeting us with smiles ♡ We’ll be back!

Awesome staff and atmosphere. A cool little hidden spot. Door is on street level then you take a long flight of steps to Have Trivia and Karaoke nights. Only slight downside is they open at 8pm – 2am lastI checked. KING of Jameson sales in the whole SE. You have got to try their spicy pickle back❗

Basement bar with super friendly bar staff. Solid place to catch a game in the collegiate off-season. Can’t speak to the regular times, though I can imagine it becomes quite crowded. Definitely worth checking out, at the very least.

Definitely love this place. Don’t get too drunk and remember to close your tab! If you forget, they pick their tip. My total was $16 but my card got charged $36! What a generous tip of me!
