Fast, simple, and delicious. If someone were to ask me to describe Japan, those would be three of the many positive adjectives i’d use.
I came in with a group of 8, and was seated immediately. The service was phenomenal, the staff were attentive to drink levels and special requests. The food came out extremely fast – 14 rolls, salads, soup and a hibachi platter all in under 30 minutes.
I got the Rainbow Roll and the Golden Dragon, as seen in the photo below, and it did not disappoint.
Normally when you go to a restaurant for a fast experience, you expect to sacrifice quality. This was not the case. To anyone driving through the Denver area craving good food, make sure to stop at Japan!

Atmosphere was OK for the menu prices. I couldn’t even eat the ‘steak’ in my hibachi. It was tough and just chewy like stew meat. It didn’t come with the zucchini and onions, but brocolli mushrooms and carrots as most typical Hibachi Express. I sent the hibachi back. I ordered $30 worth of sushi hoping I would have better luck. The sushi was also disgusting. It is lazy sushi. It doesn’t taste good and isn’t well made. The o ly one out of 3 that was edible had cucumbers with the peel still on them. It’s not ‘get what you pay for’ here. Everything about it was horrible except for the service. There is no similance of a proper hibachi or sushi experience here. And it isn’t cheap enough to be that bad. They charged me $5 for the soup and salad that came with the hibachi I sent back. I was so disgusted after getting the sushi that I just left all I couldn’t eat on the table and paid $35 for the one roll I could actually eat. I didn’t even bother sending the other 2 back. This place is way more concerned about splitting hairs and saving money than they are the quality of what they are selling. And I’ll just let them have the $20 for the sushi I couldn’t even eat. They obviously need it worse than I do.

Avoid! Inedible food and a headache for a refund.
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
I’d give Japan Denver zero stars if it were an option. We ordered Teriyaki, but they sent out Hibachi instead. Usually, a wrong order is just an annoyance, but this was actually inedible. The meat was so burnt I had to spit out the first bite.
To make matters worse, when we called to fix the issue, they tried to push a “food credit” on us. After tasting that char, the last thing we wanted was more food from them. My husband had to argue back and forth with them before they finally agreed to a refund on our card.
The lack of quality control in the kitchen and the initial refusal to give a refund is unacceptable. We will NEVER be back. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else.

Place was pretty full and there were only three people working. They were all working hard and the service was great. Food is always very good. A few observations though, I feel like you get more soup if you get it to go. Also the sauce on the broccoli tempora is more evenly spread in the to go container. Neither of those are major issues, highly recommend!

Teriyaki chicken was great. Don’t get the shrimp though taste really fishy not like shrimp
Coming back to this its been about 10 min and me and my coworkers are sick to are stomach he is nauseous and my stomach does not feel right
It was my first time eating there and I was quite disappointed because my coworker talked about eating there when he was younger, so I was quite excited to have some good food, but not excited for the outcome. I’m doing with now.

The portion size was a whole section smaller. I didn’t think I had any sauce until I opened my food container and the sauce was in one of the sections (which I would personally prefer it to be place outside the container. The carrots were unseasoned.

Been going to Japan for 10+ years. Normally do take out, but today I ate inside. The food was very bland today as if the Chef just threw it all together with no love at all. It will be a while before I go back, if I ever go back. Also, the lights above the tables need to be cleaned.

Well that was disappointing. The only thing that was good was the glass of wine and the sushi roll. The main course was horrible. Presentation was amazing but the taste did not live up to the look at all the soup was not soup it was just broth the wi e came out hot but was still good. The server was very nice as well.

Service was spectacular, and the food was good. Rice in sushi was extra sticky, so if you like that, you will really appreciate it. That being said, I felt extremely safe eating there because the food was simple, clean flavors, and I wasn’t scared of sneaky gluten
