Methi Malai Paneer was very good, authentic. The spices were blended to a coarser texture giving an authentic flavor to the gravy., unlike the paste like consistency we generally find in other restaurants. Naan was soft, and not for someone who prefers a crisper one. Sweet lassi was one of the best we ever had. It was not too sweet and was very light n not too thick.
We would love to visit again for North Indian Cuisine.

During our recent visit to Jannat Indian Cuisine, we enjoyed an incredible range of Northern Indian dishes. The Lasuni Gobi was wonderfully crisp and bursting with garlic flavor, and the Samosa Chaat offered a delightful mix of textures and spices. The Aloo Baingan was rich and comforting, and the Tarka Dal was both hearty and aromatic. The Curry Tofu was a fantastic vegan-friendly option.
The naan bread was fluffy, warm, and the perfect accompaniment to every dish. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Our server, Sara, was incredibly hospitable and provided fantastic recommendations, enhancing our experience even further.
In summary, if you’re looking for an affordable spot with delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, Jannat Indian Cuisine is definitely worth a visit!

Flavorful and rich food with excellent service! Our servers were very attentive and checked in about how the spice levels were for us and anything else we needed. Vegetable Samosa is always a hit and always very good, with the red dipping sauce! Samosa Chaat, not so good, should have followed the ratings of others who say the same. However, it showed a “V” for vegan but looks like cheddar cheese was sprinkled on top of the dish, so I tossed it in the trash because the website does not say what it is. The Vegetable Entree with Masala sauce and/or Korma sauce is very delicious!! We had the Korma sauce on the side, comes in an 8 oz container…both are very delicious, if you like a creamy sauce. The rice had no flavor or seasoning and was tossed in the trash. Overall, we enjoyed the food. The flavors are bold and tasty. This restaurant is in my top 5 best Indian restaurants in RVA.

When I came to Richmond for work, I didn’t expect to find one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in the U.S.—but Jannat Indian Cuisine completely blew me away.
Tucked into a modest, nondescript shopping center, it’s easy to overlook from the outside. But step inside, and you’re in for a true culinary treat. The staff are top class: warm, attentive, and perfectly balanced in their service—not overbearing, but always there when you need them.
And the food? Wow… just wow. From the flavorful appetizers to the rich, perfectly spiced curries, every dish was a standout. I was in Richmond for four days, and in a sea of forgettable meals, Jannat stood out like a glistening lotus flower.

Tasty Indian food! I ordered the chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, and garlic naan. It included a side of basmati rice with seasonings. I tried level 4 out of 5 spice for my tikka masala, but it left me yearning for more heat. The attentive staff offered me a hot sauce on the side for more heat, which helped. I’ll try a different curry and level 5 spice next time. The creamy spinach and garlic naan were delicious.
Next time I’ll try the lunch specials. The lunch menu is on a QR code on the table. I got the dinner portions and had enough for another full meal. I love the Indian art and the glassware. So beautiful!

Love love love Jannat. They’ve stepped up their game even more recently. The drinks are delicious, food is always consistently good, presentation is top tier and the service is friendly and great. Highly recommend the lahsani gobi and malai kofta. 10/10
