First time here. Got a 2-piece fish & chips meal. Large fillets were breaded and cooked well, not too greasy. Fries were good, adequate size. Tartar sauce was barely enough. I asked for ketchup and got a cup that was smaller than the tartar sauce cup. See photo.

Food court had some homeless people escaping the rain. The restroom was guarded against homeless incursions by a guy who used a keypad to unlock it for me. I don’t know what I would have done if he wasn’t there.

The men’s restroom at the Grossmont Center food court is a straight-up biohazard—there is literal feces leaking from the base of the toilet onto the floor, they NEVER provide toilet seat covers, and the level of neglect is unsafe, unsanitary, and absolutely unacceptable for a place where people come to eat.

I called on Sunday and got a voice mail that said text my order. It also said they closed at 8pm and it was 7pm when I called. So I texted my order as requested and then went ahead on over to go pick it up. I didn’t receive any text or message back so I just assumed it would be ready. Ive never done a text to order before. We’ll, I get there ar about 730 and it took me like 10 minutes to figure out where it was. However, when I got there around 740, the place was dark and already closed. That was super frustrating especially when I called ahead and they said they were open until 8. If they are going to take text orders, maybe a closed message would be helpful if they’re closed. I never did hear back from them. Not that day or the next.

It was great food! Came here for food on my trip. Food was out quick. Still steaming. The look is very fun too! Had a nice server. Very attentive. Would return on another trip!

Not sure what all the hype is about. The restaurant is in a mall food court. Not the cleanest area with some homeless around. I tried the combo which brought a burger, fish stick and fries with a drink for $15. Burgers patty was skinnier than the slice of onion. Fish stick and fries were okay at best. I asked for lemonade and was given pink sugary water. There was a janitor taking the trash out next to our table while we were eating. Even if you tip you still have to pick up your food yourself and throw your plate away. As soon as I left i began to feel ill with a stomachache. Do yourself a favor and go to IN AND OUT.

This was my first time eating here. I have to say, this is one of the best burger places I’ve eaten at. I’ve gotten the Cali burger and chopped up cheese fries. The foods were pretty big and very filling than I would have expected, which is very nice. I will be ordering food here again next time. Very good.

I keep coming back for Janna’s famous combo, it’s so good! 10/10 plus I recommend trying any of their milkshakes, my favorite is the wake and shake. The pickup service is great, I order online and I get a notification letting me know how long and when the order is ready. One of my favorite go to spots in San Diego for sure.

I never write reviews, but I had to make an exception for Janna’s Burgers, Fish, and Fries. My good friend Jack recommended the place to me, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. But let me tell you—it blew me away! The burger was solid, but the real star of the show was the fish. It was absolute perfection: golden, crispy, and cooked just right. Every bite was heaven. And the chopped fries? Spot on—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. I don’t usually get this excited about food, but Janna’s is on another level. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

I have tried their signature cheese burger, fish and fries combo at their other location at grossmont center. I remember it being really good so I wanted to try something else from their new location which is even closer to my house ! I tried their California burger around Valentine’s Day and they had this cute wrap and cups for the season !! It definitely made me smile and needless to say, the Cali burger was mouthwatering. I think this is my favorite Cali burger in San Diego. They are quick to prepare food, and food arrives fresh and tasty! They have variety of menu so I can’t wait to find my new favorite burger there.

There is nothing that says Janna’s Burgers. It is a “Food Hub”. Apparently multiple restaurants (not sure where they are) make your food and you pick it up at this front desk kind of thing. The hostess(?) was rather snide. She wouldn’t say anything until I said my name, what I ordered and from where. When I commented about not having a sign, she spoke down to me feigning disbelief that I wasn’t familiar with a food hub. I got my now cold burger and fries and went home to the rock that I apparently live under. The food was okay, the experience left a lasting bad taste.
You may have a great experience. I suggest you brush up on whatever is new and cool (chill) at SDSU.
