Jane is a family owned and operated business. The restaurant is named after the owner’s mother, Jane, who loved to travel the world and was always entertaining. Our goal is for our restaurants to live up to its namesake’s warm persona. We hope that you, like our many regular customers, continue to be delighted by our family recipes and friendly service.

It was an overall good experience. I was really surprised by one of their daily specials, which included Hawaiian Swordfish with a sauce and crispy leeks. It was absolutely delicious and I am not a huge fan of fish. All other food items were fine, but not extraordinary. I thought the coconut shrimp were a little bit tough. The pecan pie was good, but not significantly better than store bought. The ‘islander’ drink had a strong dark rum flavor. The service was great, with very polite and helpful waiters/waitresses.

Good menu and lively ambiance, our dining experience was good but not a wow moment.
Service lacked a bit because they had a big party, of around 20, and it seems most of the servers were helping out, hence ours suffered a bit.
The starting bread basket was fresh.
My main course, pizza, cant remember the name, was good and well prepared.
My dessert, was good.
There are so many good places in the Goleta/Santa Bárbara área that not sure if I will patronize this establishment again.

Overall good, the bread & butter is much better than many other place’s. Although I feel like too much water has been added for the Bolognese and the tomato was tasteless. For the second time I came here, I got Chicken Fettuccini and it was delicious! I wish their portion for that is slightly bigger though. Good service too.

Good bread but they only bring you a single pat of butter for 4 slices of sourdough. Each time we asked for more butter they brought one more pat.
Very high price per calorie. Calamari appetizer was rubbery and coated with a batter that would not stay on.. so you ended up eating just the naked calamari. $30 salad had 3 small shrimp and 3 small slices of Ahi tuna and a big pile of unchopped greens.

Always a delight! Went last minute after driving all day, seated at the bar with Thiago and had a amazing meal and beautiful drinks. I have nightshade allergies and I was still able to get the Salmon on ceder with tons of flavor! Thank you for always taking care of us!

Jane’s is an exquisite small restuarant in Goleta tucked in amoung the fast food and noisy full service restaurants. The atmosphere is quiet and warm with soft music allowing conversion. The service is excellent with knowledgeable, friendly wait staff. The food is top notch. We tried the grilled artichokes which came served with a tasty dipping sauce. Very good. The red onion rings fantastic. The shrimp pizza with avocado and tomatillo was wonderful. The fresh swordfish sandwich delightful.
Don’t forget dessert. The coconut cake was light and airy with a tree Leche sauce. Cote de creme in chocolate one of the best I have tasted. Plenty of parking. There is a personal recommendation from Julia Child at the entrance.
This is a don’t miss, highly recommended.

Really tasty food! Our table tried a variety of things and it was all really great. The flat bread starter was a little too toasted (it was hard) but the spreads were very tasty. Would definitely come back again if ever in the area.

This upscale casual eatery offers good food and friendly service. They’re a bit pricy, but not crazy expensive. When we arrived for this meal the table wasn’t set up for service, and we had to ask for silverware, salt and pepper, and such.
We ordered onion rings with balsamic for an appetizer and they were very good. Red onions with a great batter and a good blend of flavors. They did need some salt, but were otherwise a good choice.
She had the Margherita pizza and it was perfectly baked with fresh ingredients. Again, it needed some salt but was otherwise well done. I went with the penne and was quite happy. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was homemade and delicious.

What a wonderful place to come for lunch & dinner. The atmosphere is relaxing and the owner, Margaret is so kind. Really, all the staff are very nice. I love the food, they work hard to get the best ingredients. And it shows in the taste. I had the Linguine with clams and coconut cake. So tasty!

Had a great experience at Jane. One of my favorite parts was the cocktails, Tiago makes excellent drinks. The appetizers were perfect for sharing, which made the meal feel fun and social, and dinner was just as good. Everything we tried was thoughtfully prepared and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning.
