Sangam Thapa
I don’t remember the exact name of the dish, but it was a thicker chip-style appetizer served with a creamy spinach sauce, and it was easily the best thing we ordered. That dish really stood out and is a must-try. The steak combo meal was also good and worth ordering. Everything else was enjoyable overall. We went as a group of six, and the servers were friendly and handled everything smoothly, which made the experience even better.

this place at 1 star sounds like he’s missing a few teeth. His review made my brain hurt. My great aunt took me here last night. I had the mushroom Swiss burger. It came with the veggies on top so you could add them yourself if you wanted. I asked for it medium and it came out perfect medium. Honestly the best mushroom Swiss burger I have ever had. Large glasses to drink from which I appreciate. Got my full water intake for the day I drink from mason jars at home so this was a huge plus for me personally. I didn’t get to try the cheesecakes but man they sure looked good and next time my wife and I come to town we will be getting some. Place was clean and inviting to eat in. Plenty of parking around back if the sides are full. It appeared to have outdoor seating as well and I believe my great uncles car club has meetings here. They are 84 and 86 years old and if this was the place they chose to take me to for my trip here first… I knew it had to be good! Only complaint is I asked for a side of mayo and got one packet. I did ask for more but I was about halfway done eating or more when they brought two more packs but I can’t totally blame them as I could tell they were short staffed and working hard. Will be back!

Not the Jamie’s I Remember
I used to really like Jamie’s. A year or two ago, the food felt well thought out and homemade—especially the white gravy, which had a subtle sage flavor and tasted like it was made in-house, not poured from a can. It felt like care went into the kitchen.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience anymore, especially since Jamie’s merged with Buckets. While the merge itself may have made sense on paper, the execution has been disappointing. Although wings are still on the menu, the wing experience has been reduced significantly. Many of the sauces and options that made Buckets stand out are gone, and the menu now feels stripped down compared to what it used to be.
Last night, I ordered a pork tenderloin, and what I received was essentially a large piece of deep-fried breading with a very thin slice of meat in the center. I was mostly eating batter. The breading was extremely thick, dry, and hard—completely overwhelming the meat and frankly inedible. I would much rather have a lightly breaded, schnitzel-style cut where you can actually taste the pork, not a plate-sized illusion created by excessive batter. I ended up giving it to my dogs.
I also tried the gumbo, which unfortunately tasted canned and lacked freshness or depth. Aside from the coleslaw, which was fine, the rest of the meal was very disappointing. Beans and corn came out cold. Spicy corn didn’t taste the same either. It all lacked flavor. You aren’t eating for looks, you wat for flavor!
What makes this frustrating is that Jamie’s used to be a decent, reliable place. Right now, the food quality feels like a step backward, and the changes since the merge have not been managed well. Whoever is running the kitchen really needs to revisit what made Jamie’s good in the first place and get back to that standard.
I won’t be coming back for food anytime soon, which is disappointing to say—but this just isn’t the Jamie’s I remember.

OMGoodness!!! Such a great experience. I had family in town and we wanted to celebrate my grandson’s birthday with a nice breakfast. Haven’t been to Jaime’s yet. Table was ready for us when we arrived. Our waitress was fabulous (Kam) !! Every one thought food was delicious. The atmosphere was elegant but family friendly. Highly recommend…

We’ve enjoyed eating both lunch and dinner for the past few years at Jamie’s and for the most part the food was good while the atmosphere was lacking. However, since their recent relocation they have not only added breakfast to the menu but the interior of the restaurant has had a significant upgrade. If you enjoyed the lunch and dinner offerings in the past they’re still there and now adding breakfast items on a comprehensive menu available at 7 AM daily. We had an veggie omelet with hash browns and toast along with a pancake combo this morning that was both fresh and tasty. Nicole was our server and she was knowlegable regarding the menu and prompt with both food and beverages. We’re glad to have Jamie’s here in Mountain Home, thanks to the owners for adding breakfast in the new location!

Oh my goodness, this place…. THIS DELICIOUS PLACE! The fried chicken and pot pie sold us both. The freshness and seasoning were spot on the sides and could have been served as a meal and met all requirements. Not necessarily but portion but the flavors. You have a dessert counter where you can pick whatever sweet delight appeals to you. We ate ours before our meal . The sweet tea was a perfect balance. The place had very nice lighting that added to the ambiance of an open space restaurant. The place smelled wonderful and was squeaky clean (beside the vents in the women bathroom, hint hint) Our waitress Bri was also a wonderful server and added to our experience, she was attentive, soft spoken, and extremely polite. She made the whole first-timer experience the best. Thank you for that! I strongly recommend giving this place a go for sure.

This was an hour of my life that I’ll never get back. We were seated immediately and I think we were invisible. Finally after way too long someone took our drink order and finally brought that to the table and walked away. I was ready to order by then. After way too long she found her way back and finally we got to place our food order. After way too long the food finally came. The BBQ sandwich was average and had too little sauce on it and I was afraid that if I asked for more sauce I would be done eating by the time I got it. I did ask for more napkins because that single thin one that my cheap tableware was wrapped in was never going to cut it. BBQ gets messy. Finally got the check and finally she came back to take payment. It was over a solid hour for a simple sandwich. People have places to get to. I won’t be back.

The best cheeseburger I’ve ever ate. Compliments to the cheif the fries on the other hand they need some major help they were not good at all. The place was so clean and inviting with great music in the background. I wish I remembered our waitresses name. She was on break from college and her mom runs the place, is what I was told. Well she was so nice, kind, friendly and fast. The bathrooms were very clean. All around very nice place. I wish I could give 5 stars but those fries really disappointed me especially with such a great big burger I couldn’t even finish I took half home. I highly recommend this place.

O wowsers!! The food was crazy delicious and we definitely will be back! Our waitress Pam took the best care of us and gave us 5 star service. The food portions are huge and it’s home cooked spot on scrumptious. The prices are so reasonable and the menu is extensive.. everyone should find something that suits their fancy. I also appreciated that the restaurant and restrooms were extremely clean.
