Used to eat here as a kid and came by for the nostalgia. Got a BBQ sandwich, coleslaw, and potato salad. The cashier was a bit rude and the coleslaw was sickeningly sweet, add in that it was a bit warm inside and their ice machine appeared to be out of order (as I couldn’t get ice for my tea). Overall it just wasn’t a pleasant experience.

CONSISTENTLY AND HANDS-DOWN THE VERY BEST BBQ we have had out of 17 BBQ restaurants in Marshall and DeKalb Counties! We’re done trying other places. James is our go to BBQ restaurant. If you want good portions, lean full-flavor smoked meats, the tastiest of sides, REAL SOUTHERN SWEET TEA, and affordable prices with a polite staff, James’ is your BBQ place, too! Grew up in Texas and Louisiana and we know what good BBQ is. James BBQ has the juiciest smoked chicken and the ribs fall off the bone. The sides are delicious as well! My family and I won’t eat any other BBQ in the area ONLY James! Great service on top of great food!

We were from out of town and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. BBQ wasn’t on our mind at the time but just didn’t want fast food. We are so glad we stopped! This was some of the best BBQ and fries we have ever eaten and to mention..2 adults and 3 children ate for less than $40. We mentioned on the way home that we could make this an every weekend lunch. The staff and service was also awesome! Go check this place out if you haven’t!

I ordered the whole smoked chicken the chicken fingers and the smoked wings for me and the family. It was all very good. The whole smoked chicken was my favorite. James BBQ does a great job.

Great lil BBQ restaurant!!!! To be honest I really was skeptical about this place I’ve driven by 2 many times 2 count thinking why waste my money on another not so great expensive barely editable restaurant maybe I’m just 2 picky but the restaurants around here aren’t the greatest but 2 my surprise this place was worth it not only is it great tasting it’s also very affordable!!! I will definitely put this in our SMALL rotation of restaurants Best BBQ around I won’t name the ones in Albertville but they don’t come close 2 this one… The burgers are the best burger everrrrrrrr so so so yummy we try to stop by once a week we haven’t order one thing that wasn’t just amazing!!!!

Some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. The flavor made it stand out from the rest. Good Brunswick stew. Fried pickles were a little on the soggy side but still had a great flavor and the homemade ranch was amazing.
