A few years back when they first opened it was only patties and cakes with drinks.

I recently learned they began serving a full menu of authentic food and now I’m even more impressed with the place.

Amazing food and service! The owner is pleasant and knowledgeable always presenting a great attitude. Food is delicious. Patties are fresh and flaky, but they sell fast! Cakes are amazing. Sodas are great. Absolute 10/10!
The jerk chicken was incredible, rice was soft and flavorful with red beans. Cabbage was tender and seasoned well. Plantains were perfectttt. My to-go order didn’t take long at all! Bless this place! I have been coming for years and will definitely be back!

I was there on October 21, 2025. I ordered the Large Jerk Chicken & Plantains. This is not the first time. I have been to this establishment. But, it will be my last time. This place has really gone downhill and gone the cheap route. The chicken was dry & barely was any. I received a bunch of end pieces of the thigh. The rice and beans were dry. Like, it had been reheated over and over again. The cabbage. Well! I do not even know. If, that was actually cabbage or canned cabbage. But, it was hideous and salty as hell. I asked for more jerk sauce for the chicken. Because, the restaurant only gives you a teaspoon in a container. I did not realize. Until, I got home and put the jerk sauce on the chicken and tasted it and realized. When, she went back to the back, to put more jerk sauce in the container. She had watered it down. Just, because. I asked for more. As far as the plantains. The plantains tasted like. It was cooked in old cooking oil. Nothing at this establishment is made fresh. It has been sitting around all day or it is the leftovers from the day before. I wasted $24 dollars at this establishment. Do not waste your money & skip this place.

The oxtail were tasty not overly salty, the rice was tasty too, but the cabbage side dish was too too salty and vinegary. Idk but we couldn’t eat the cabbage, maybe it was an off day, but I will try it again to make sure cuz it’s impossible for it to purposely taste the way it did. Now the jerk chicken was a whole different thing! The best jerk chicken I’ve had so far living in the area and I have tried 3 other west Indian restaurants further away. To be honest I didn’t ever know this place was here, lol…And I lived here for over 7 years! This place may need some work but the hostess was very nice and kind. We also had beef patties and coco bread. Now, umm, I’m originally from NYC, so I have to be real… the coco bread was super dry and we think it’s because it was not freshly made maybe (we picked up our order an hour b4 closing). Still, it should taste good, but it was not the quality I was hoping for. The pattie was ehh, more soggy and limp, than flaky, fresh, and busting with flavor, steam, and form. Soooo this was our first time there, but we will give it another try hoping that this first visit was possibly an off day. Btw, we ordered an oxtail and jerk chicken dinner and some patties with coco bread. I will update this again after another visit.

Very delicious! We ordered ox tail, curried chicken, and 2 different patties (mild & beefy cheese). Curried chicken was a little on the salty side but the flavor was fantastic on all the food!
I would suggest going asap to pick your food up or just go in to order to get it at its hottest. Our food was ready very fast.
Wonderful meal, should have gone sooner and we will be back!

The large jerk chicken meal that I payed $18 for was not worth the price. I received one leg quarter that was cut into bite size pieces. There was no jerk flavor, the rice was not good, but the cabbage was ok. Also, I threw it in the trash and I do not recommend Jamcenter if you are looking for Jamaican food. I have traveled many places for jerk chicken and this is the worst that I have ever had. I would recommend Irie Island if you are looking food in the Canton area.

The wait was a HR , jerk chicken was dry and taste like beef jerky…. My wife drove from Akron she said parking lot was empty. That should have been her first clue.
Anyway the lady working was sweet. But out of the 1-10 jerk was a 2

I went to try out this restaurant. I was very pleased with the atmosphere. I asked for a public restroom and though he allowed me to use it, it usually isn’t for the customers…so I wouldn’t dine in and expect to use the restroom. The food smelled HORRIBLE! I got a jerk chicken meal and the meal was dried out and seemed as though it was old and warmed up. The sauce was nasty..very similar to open pit. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was open pit, but they were not generous with the sauce, which could’ve helped the dry chicken in some way. The cabbage was the only thing I enjoyed but overall I feel like I wasted my money and I was so disappointed traveling from Fairlawn to eat there.

I’ve had the beef patties and coco bread in the past, and they were great. I decided to try something more meal than snack, so I went for the jerk chicken. I’ve had authentic roadside jerk in Jamaica, as well as from restaurants in various states. This one was not good. The chicken was extremely dry even though it looked moist. The cabbage tasted more like egg roll than what I expected. I rate the beef patties a 4.5. The jerk chicken gets a 1.5. I’m hoping maybe it was just an off day, but I’ll be going elsewhere for the foreseeable future.

Didn’t really meet my expectations, especially from all the good reviews I’ve seen. If the food was a bit more flavorful I could see this being my new go to spot for Jamaican food since it’s a lot closer to me than Irie Island.
