I’ve been searching for a Jamaican spot near me and I have found it! I ordered the Jerk Chicken & Oxtail combo! First, I appreciate them having a combo that allowed me to try the jerk chicken and oxtails! The jerk chicken was tender and flavorful as well as the oxtails. I loved the flavor in the Rice & Peas and cabbage! I also got the Mac&Cheese and plantains. The entire meal was wonderful and they found a repeat customer for sure!

I have wanted to go to this restaurant for a while. The atmosphere is genuine and very welcoming. I had the brown stew chicken(not spicy) with cabbage and my friend had jerk chicken with a side portion of their scotch bonnet hot sauce(spicy) and it was intense. They have plates for all spicy levels, but if you’re looking for quality spice that doesn’t disappoint, look no further.
They also had a small assortment of drinks, I tried the Ting, sooo good , and my friend had some pineapple/ginger juice, he enjoyed it. We had a great time. My only criticism would be the space I side is a bit small, and the chairs were not the most comfortable, but I could have eaten outside, so this whole space didn’t fully bother me. Still would highly recommend.

As a jamaican living in texas, it always saddens me that my native food is scarce here in texas. However, I found joy in my heart knowing that this establishment is here in Burleson. Had the oxtail plate with jerk chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, plantain and coco bread. The food is spicy so fair warning but its truly authentic jamaican (YARD!) food, gave me childhood memories the moment I took a bite of the rice. Chicken was cooked to perfection and the oxtail as well. To all my texas fam, whether you Caribbean or not, you will truly enjoy this food. It’s the closest thing to jamaican food this side of DFW

Jamaican Summers is truly a gem of Johnson County. The food is fantastic, served hot and fresh, and you can tell a lot of love went into the food. From the food to the house-made juices, everything tastes fresh.
On top of all that, the atmosphere is great and the service was very friendly. Definitely recommend trying this place at least once.

Anything negative about this jamaican gem is all lies , this place never disappoints. Every plate taste authentic and different just like home cooking should. The environment is like a mini vacation and the wait for the food is always worth it. Top notch hospitality and patience as well. 5 stars!

I ordered the large jerk chicken with rice and cabbage. The chicken was well-seasoned but leaned on the salty side and lacked the smoky flavor that typically distinguishes authentic Jamaican jerk chicken. The rice was chewy and slightly hard, which was disappointing. While the food was edible, it didn’t quite capture the natural Jamaican spices I was hoping for. That said, I’m willing to give it another try and explore other menu options. Hoping for a better experience next time!

I’ll give it 4 stars because the service was great. Oxtail needed more seasoning. Goat was ok. Patties ok. Not suitable for dinning in. Selection at the time of my visit on a Saturday was few. From the outside it looked abandoned but was clean on the inside.

LET ME TELL YALL!!!! This is going to a new weekly visit for me. I was so happy to see it open and had time to stop in. We ordered the Jerk Chicken plate. Jerk Chicken Pasta and plantains. Next time I’m ordering the I tails. The service was great. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. It was my first visit. The lovely lady behind the counter gave her recommendations as did other customers. The lady who was cooking came up and gave her input as well. We put in our orser and waited about 15-20min. It was so worth it. The first thing we noticed about our food was the SERVING SIZES!!!! Texas sized for sure!! Now for the taste…..I danced the whole time I ate. I didnt even put a dent in my pasta. I got so full and am so happy. Definitely the highlight to my day. Thank you ladies. I’ll be back soon!!! Y’all are amazing

I always really enjoy getting food from this restaurant. Really authentic, and tasty Jamaican food. As a born Jamaican that’s been in America for more than a decade, it’s difficult to find good Jamaican food. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only downside is their store hours are a bit limited and the food is a bit pricey. I don’t mind because food expensive everywhere right now, so they are just adjusting to the economy.
But overall, great food, clean restaurant, good music, great service, and 110% recommend!
