Jerk House isn’t just a restaurant claiming to Jerk We’re one of the only ones that authentically Jerk, all Sauces are made in-house with imported ingredients from Kingston. Richard Rose is born and raised in Kingston 13 Jamaica and his wife Jackie is a New Orleans native with Cuban parents So the fusion is wild. Our ultimate goal is to build a power house that can rebuild our community and give others the opportunity to franchise and rebuild other communities. One Love!

Everything was so good! Wish I could gatekeep lol but just by being there, I can tell they are family people doing their big one fasho. I can feel the dedication they put into their atmosphere and food. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the short rib was definitely tender, something I haven’t had in a log time (coming from other establishments) Definitely recommend it! 5 stars for jerk house! ❤️

I tried this new restaurant today and I have to say it was an amazing experience! The food was full of authentic flavor and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered the oxtails, and they were perfectly seasoned, tender, and fall-off-the-bone delicious. The rice and peas had the right balance of seasoning, the cabbage was cooked just right, and the side of mac and cheese was creamy and rich. What really stood out was the attention to detail the little Jamaican flag on the rice, the small pot serving dish for the oxtails, and the flavorful gravy that tied everything together. The portion sizes were generous, and the meal was very satisfying. On top of that, the atmosphere was welcoming, the service was friendly, and everything came out fresh and hot. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Jamaican food in a great setting!

So delicious! I shared a combination plate of Oxtail and beef ribs with a friend and we still took home leftovers. The meat was rich, the spice level was perfect, and the combination platters are worth at least 3 meals in my opinion! Bar serves very tall drinks, so they were also worth their price.

The place for oxtail in the city. And the patties, and the mac, and the rice—it’s all delicious. Very generous portions. They say it’ll take about 30 minutes for the oxtails but mine came out in about 15. Nice people, amazing food, clean tables. What more could you want?

1st time in the N.O. I got there at opening time and when I tell you I was 12th in line and boy was it worth the wait. This place is a small place there’s a small outside dining area. Inside could seat bout 20-25 people. The young lady at the register was very kind and patient with me being it was my 1st time in the establishment. So I ordered the oxtail and jerk beef rib plate. As you can see in the pics plenty of food my side were Mac n cheese, rice n peas & cabbage. The Mac was different cause they used spaghetti noodles. But the taste was top tier. The cabbage was well seasoned(hell everything was well seasoned)with the right crunch. The oxtail and rib just fell apart the minute you tried to pick it up. And the rice n peas . So when I go back to the best food city in the world I will be returning to the jerk house. Thank you to the owner down to the staff. Yall did yall big with this one

This was my first time and the service was excellent- the rum punch was excellent – the jerk tacos was amazing – the fried pork chop was incredible – the rice – the cabbage – the oxtail tacos – the pasta – the atmosphere – the beautiful young lady serving me was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about their product. Overall – a 9/10.

I have NOTHING but praise for this establishment! The food was so delicious! It was well seasoned, portions were huge, and I am in love! While I pay 60-70 for one plate elsewhere, it was only 33.00 at Jamaican Jerk House! I will be returning! Highly recommended! Side note: the smaller box is the extra I paid for because in other cities, you only get 2-3 oxtails for double the price here!

This place is a hit! I mean I ate the chicken jerk tacos 3 days in a row. The chicken was spicy, and tender and it came with a jerk queso sauce. The oxtail tacos were good, but be careful of the small bones. The curry chicken was fire as hell, juicy and tender. The plates were plentiful. Really wish I could’ve sat and experienced this place in full, but I had to get back to a seminar for work. The wait is normally 30+ minutes, but because we were first responders and had to get back they looked out for us. I’m literally planning a trip in a couple of weeks just to come back for the tacos.

WOW! The portions are very generous. My husband and I ordered two separate two meat plates as we each wanted to try different things… and it was more than we needed, but not complaining. Everything we had was fantastic. The meat (shrimp, chicken, oxtails, beef ribs) were all so flavorful and tender. Also, the best potato salad I’ve ever had! Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
