Sunshine’s Wings and Catfish
I had an oxtail plate from this fabulous food truck and it was soooo delicious!!! Everything was fresh and tasty! Mike is a great chef working hard to bring the Jamaican flavor to Forney! Please go support his business… did I mention he is one of the nicest guys ever

I’d like to start by saying that the plates were beautiful and had so much potential but lacked flavor and sanitization.
There was a DEAD fly in my lemon pepper jerk wings I literally almost threw up. The wings that I did eat were okay lots of jerk flavor not enough lemon pepper.
My fiancé had jerk chicken rice&beans cabbage. She stated that the chicken lacked depth. The chicken didn’t taste as if it was marinated.
Overall I’d wish that we ate anywhere else I would absolutely not eat here again.

Went to Mike’s Cuisine today, and honestly, this place is a disgrace to Caribbean culture. I feel like I dodged a bullet. The owner showed me the “jerk chicken,” but it didn’t even look grilled — just pale and sitting in a warmer at noon. For a $27 plate, I expected fresh, flavorful food, not something that looked old and unappetizing. This isn’t a good representation of authentic Caribbean cuisine at all.

Do not eat here. I was recommended by a coworker of mines. I get there, the male at the window is asleep. First red flag, I had to bang on the window for him to wake up. Secondly, he left the window open while preparing my food with flies all around. My food was not fresh whatsoever we ordered 1. Lemon Pepper Jerk Wings (He just took the wings out of a bag, and tossed them in a bowl with jerk, then tossed seasoning on top). 2. Jerk Wings, Rice/Beans, Cabbage. The wings lacked flavor, all I can taste is barbecue . The side were very nasty. Cabbage wasn’t cooked long enough. Keep in mind, we paid $50 for this. To top it off, my fiancé is eating the wings, and finds a fly at the bottoms of the plate! We WILL NEVER IN LIFE EAT HERE AGAIN.. Sweet guy, but TERRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE.

Ever since we tasted real jerk chicken in Jamaica, we’ve been on a mission to find something even close back home. After trying several local spots that just didn’t hit the mark—either too dry, too sweet, or not nearly enough kick—we finally struck gold last night!
This place NAILED it! The smoky flavor, the spice, the juiciness… it brought us right back to the island. The seasoning was bold without being overpowering, and that little char on the edges? Perfection.
If you’ve been craving authentic jerk chicken and keep getting disappointed, stop the search. This is it. Trust me, your tastebuds will thank you.!

When Mike first open, you could tell that he took his time with his food and cared about how his food came out now the oxtails are tough And flavor list. The rice is bland and he doesn’t even put gravy on there like he used to. I used to look forward to coming to this food trip now I won’t be returning.
