Overall atmosphere was bland.The attendant greeted me and I placed my order.
I had oxtails and rice with steamed vegetables and fried plantains.
The oxtails was tasty with watery gravy .Rice and peas(red beans) were very mushy and vinegary .Couldn’t tell it was plantain by the look.
It was not a worthy experience especially given the price of meal.$24.30 for a large meal.
Other meals might have been better to try however it’s a first and last for me.

Walked in just wanting beef patties until we saw the Jerk Chicken Roti. So glad the staff and other customer recommended this dish to my wife and I. The jerk chicken was seasoned perfectly (meat falling straight off the bone) and the roti was fresh. We have found our new favorite Jamaican restaurant near by.

I usually go to the Clayton location, but stop by this one because I love the food. The food was okay, when I arrive Friday afternoon sometime around 5:30 they were out of cabbage which was fine. I didn’t mind the way, but I also ordered Shrimp Rasta pasta order came up to $53.87. I’ve never had an issue with the restaurant Clayton and since I was pretty much the only person in the restaurant at the time I didn’t check my food while I was there. That was a big mistake once I got home which was 45-minute drive from the restaurant. I realized that my order was wrong and they didn’t give me cabbage on one of my plates. So I called the restaurant. The cashier was very sympathetic, apologized and said I can come in and get my pasta whenever. When I came to get my pasta the following Sunday they told me I had to wait till the cashier came in, in order to get my order. After some back and forth with the cashier. She said I can come in and get the order but when I got the place was kind of nasty tables needed to be wiped down. The floors needed to be swept and there was nobody, they also said that they was just only going to give me PASTA nothing else and it was in the smallest container that they had. But I paid $25 for shrimp Rasta pasta. Will never come to this location again!!!!!

Never ever come here after 3 PM. They absolutely do not make fresh food once it’s made in the morning. The food is only fresh in the morning when they first open up. I made the mistake of going there around 4 PM close to 5 PM and the brown stew chicken smelled burnt and was extremely dried out. The plantains were hard. The rice and beans completely dried out and crunchy. The veggies had a smell to it and you knew it was old because it smelled spoiled. I went back again but it was in the morning when the restaurant first open it’s doors and the food was excellent. I will never go back unless it’s when they first open up.

10/10/10 Most definitely recommend…. I was in Goldsboro today for a few hours and around lunch I was looking for something to eat and stumbled upon this GEM since coming to this city I have been reluctant to find a good Caribbean cuisine until now go, no Run because this is a must try the atmosphere is great the location is great and the food, well it speaks for itself the menu feature beef patty, coco bread, oxtails, jerk chicken, curry goat, and the list goes on. I will be back guys I’m in Goldsboro every week can’t wait to try something else I had the curry lamb roti, yes I said roti (for the trini people) it was bussin. No food pics because I scarfed it down.

The food is good. The price point is where I have a problem. I’m not used to paying over $ 30.00 for a plate of food because it’s “special.” I love to support small businesses, but I will be making better choices when the plate is 80% rice and peas, 13% Oxtails and 7% gravy.

I came in today nice atmosphere the oxtails was great but the Mac n cheese was mushy and a clump of cheese it wasn’t good at all and the cabbage was bland. Other than that I will come back I will just try something different
