A casual restaurant to get a delicious meal at a reasonable price.
Lunch/Dinner Review: Favs-the birria tacos, beef fajita nachos, and mini tacos de carne asada… we like all of these plates and would recommend these. The rice and beans are also good here.
Breakfast Review: The breakfast items here are all very good and prices are very reasonable/affordable. The tortillas both flour and corn are homemade style. Refried beans and ranchero salsa are very good also. Pancakes are consistently good here too. I added salt to everything, but that’s normal. lol
Only suggestions: I prefer the potatoes to be cut a little smaller and the barbacoa had a little too much fat. IMO, the barbacoa here is not my favorite but others in my group liked it as is.

Looking for a great Mexican restaurant? As of today I would say this is one of the best places to stop by, their breakfast is amazing I had the Nico’s Skillet and was very delicious, price is just right and their salsa is just like a real home made salsa. They also have as an option home made tortillas which you can ask for if you are really hungry because they are not small, this would be my favorite place when visiting again. FYI they had karaoke on Sunday night which ended at 12 p.m.

Ordered the Taco Alambre plate to go, ate this at home and towards the end of the second taco, I bit into two, sharp, plastic pieces, broken off from what I can only assume plastic, storage containers. Luckily I felt them with my front teeth before chewing the bite I had taken. Called and told an employee about the situation, drove over to let them see and was told I had already eaten a good portion the food. The employee swore up and down that they didn’t have any plastic in the kitchen, only aluminum and offered me a taco to replace the one I had already eaten from the plate. I said no and was offered NO REFUND. I am an adult male, who always chews his food carefully so I was very lucky I didn’t stab the top of my mouth or swallow these DANGEROUS pieces. If at been another person or a young teen, possibly a kid, it might not have been the same outcome. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I will be notifying the Health Dept. and leaving this negative review so that something can be done to prevent this in the future. The lady I spoke to was light skinned complexion, with reddish hair, tied back. Didn’t get her name tho.

They have Karaoke on Saturday and Sunday nights from 7pm till 11pm. An experience within itself, then paired with the authentic taste that’s been part of South Texas for decades. This is my go to restaurant since it brings back nostalgic memories.

The food here is so authentic and delicious. If you have a chance to visit this location do so everybody is so friendly and kind. Service is always fast. Waitresses are very attentive. Love this place give it a try. Alma is my favorite waitress always so friendly and kind.
