First review but lemme get straight to the point i came around 10:35-10:50pm 3/4/26 i know kinda late but that’s besides the point, there was 2 guys ahead of me and 1 paid with card the next with cash. And here’s what happens with the same glove that touched the cash he put his gloved hands inside the lettuce and placed it in my bowl and then i tried explaining to him that he touched the cash with the same gloves and tries telling me that he didn’t touch the cash with that same glove but i literally saw him. All in all i just walked out without getting anything, DISAPPOINTED cleanliness is first.

Served me RAW chicken nuggets. Found out after eating half of one and hoping I don’t get sick. I went back to show it and the guy who barely cooked it just so he can get to eat lunch didn’t even apologize or offer to make a new batch. Instead, he dumped the raw food and put other nuggets in the fryer and went back to eating his lunch.
The least you guys could do is show bare MINIMUM care for a customer you could get sick or killed for your stupid, negligent mistake.

Along with the rapid growth of Halal Mexican options on Long Island comes Jalapeno Shack. We ordered the 3-pack of tacos, everything made fresh and in front of us. Despite the value, our overall experience was poor. Start to finish, it took 15 minutes to prepare one order of tacos which really tested our patience. The choices of bases and toppings were nice to see and really built up our expectations along the way. Each taco was filled to the brim and overflowing, so it was near-comical seeing three of them be squished into one burrito bowl as it’s main packaging. Biting into each taco, a few things became clear: the ingredients were fresh but not high-quality, the chicken and beef were cooked well but not adequately spiced, and the whole taco was just plain bland. We had balanced expectations for a taqueria and Jalapeno Shack just did not deliver.

They have several protein options which can be added to any bowl, taco, or quesadilla of your choice. Their sauces added a kick to it and their dulche de leche churro is a must try.

Terrible prices, I complained once when I ended up paying $17 for a bowl. A month later he dropped price by $1. Today I came in after months bc I was starving and saw 10.99 lunch special. The owner put 1/4 of the bowl with rice and even less of the other ingredients. (And I thought chipotle portions were bad this was even worse). His prices and portions will make me start eating haram wanted lunch walked out with a snack.

I LOVED THE FOOD! But, this is NOT fast food, I waited a total of one hour in the store with only two workers. Four customers in front of me, everything made fresh, I waited about 25 minutes just to place my order, and another 25 to get my food made. Some items weren’t available because they needed to make more, but were too busy. The food was cold by the time I got it home, but very tasty once warmed up.
