Another Taco Tuesday, another Taco truck. This time…Jalepeno City Truck located at E. 20th and Park Ave in the casino parking lot. To be honest, there’s not much of a menu (10 items), but I was there for tacos. I placed my order of 4 carne asada (spicy) and 4 chicken (mild), and at $1.50 each, I was expecting good tasting Tacos as these actually included cheese with the obligatory cilantro and onions. Upon biting into the beef, it was…ordinary. It really wasn’t spicy, and the cheese cooled and hardened around the rest of the ingredients, making for a difficult chew. Same with the chicken. The meat was barely seasoned, and was drowning in a sauce that was bland. Not even a jalapeño/carrot/radish was included, and only 1 piece of lime. I’m starting to realize that most trucks are just trying to make money, NOT a good-tasting product. Are there trucks that take pride in their cooking? Of course, read my other reviews. However, this is NOT one of them. Avoid if you can…you deserve better for your money.

Two words- burrito natcheeto… you can thank me later. Regular with spicy chicken soo dang good. The seasoning on the chicken is phenomenal. I keep meaning to try other things on the menu but their burrito is perfection. Thanks for being there.

Favorite taco truck in Chico! The quesadilla is one of the best around! Reminds me of an elevated crunch wrap but 10x better. My go to is a spicy supreme veggie burrito, excellent flavor in the rice and beans & plenty of heat. The owners are incredibly kind as well!

I got 3 chicken tacos, my bf got a chicken burrito and a side of rice and beans and it was super good! The chicken was seasoned so good and each taco was stuffed! I got mine with out cheese cause I just like cilantro y onion. The spicy salsa was different but tasted really good on the tacos. My bfs burrito was really good too. Just moved to Chico from LA and haven’t had a bad truck yet.

My favorite taco truck as it is run by an amazing couple, Gustavo and Fabiana, and they do an incredible burrito plate. It is a ton of flavorful food for a very cheap price. Great option if you are starving and gluten free.
