Came here for restaurant week menu and the special three course menu had plenty of options. Service was a bit slow as we came just as they opened and the restaurant was cold. Based on weather outside and the early seating I’ll give it pass for this visit. Our first course was angel hair croquets and bruschetta both good tasting. Main courses where pan seared salmon with rice and vegetables, second main was skirt steak with mashed potatoes and onion fritts.
My wife enjoyed the salmon and found it very good. The skirt steak came undercooked at rare but I order medium it was sent back and came back well done but tasted better then it did at rare. The skirt tasted like it was marinated in way that took away from its natural flavors, mash and onions where tasty. Deserts where simple but good bread pudding and churros both served with ice cream.

Not blown away by Jake’s but not put off. My server was a nice young man which made things better. Will try it again someday but didn’t jump into my rotation of places to visit more frequently.

Wonderful dining experience. Reserved table was ready on a Friday night. Just walked straight in at the reservation time. Food was absolutely delicious and served perfectly. Water was filled immediately and several times. Drinks were amazing! Passion fruit margarita for the win! Truly a gem in East Meadow. Will be visiting again!

I was a bit disappointed. The porterhouse didn’t meet my high expectations, especially considering the price, making it a significant letdown. While the oysters were generally good, one of the six was unfortunately off. The beer-battered pickles had far too much batter, and the Jake’s Old Fashioned was just okay. Service was exceptional.

Had dinner tonight during Long Island Restaurant Week and really enjoyed all of our dishes. Loved the warm, beige-colored surroundings and butter-soft booth seats in the dining area. For starters, we received a welcoming basket of hot bread and crackers, followed by a bowl of sweet, butternut squash soup and crispy Thai-flavored shrimps covered with a delicious, sweet, savory chili sauce. Our main course was grilled pork chops served with pickled cabbage and sweet potatoes. My brother had the pan seared salmon which was equally excellent. We ended our meals with the bread pudding and brownie served with the best vanilla ice cream! Our waiter Alan was exceptional throughout our dinner experience, and we look forward to trying other menu items in the near future.

12/20/25. Seated promptly on a Saturday night.. now I know why. Started with the shrimp stuffed mushrooms in cream sauce, tasty but lukewarm. For mains we had the chicken franchise (heavy on the butter flavor, not much lemon) and filet. Filet was way overcooked. Gross. The mashed potatoes were dry. Desserts were the cheesecake (SO bland, even sour) and warm brownie (better of the 2). Amanda was a friendly server but service just wasn’t up to par, especially with those prices. Not running back.

On the recommendation of a coworker, twelve of us–including the coworker– high tailed it to Jakes one cold Friday evening to hang out and have dinner… I personally love the cozy feel of the restaurant– Wood floors, brass fixtures, booths for two… Just nice! We occupied space in the rear of the restaurant where the larger parties sat and dined… The only drawback ? The room was VERY chilly! Yet we all had our outer wear to keep us comfortable♡

Now the drinks, the service and the food; which is a combination of great and good!!! The coconut martini…Yum
The bang bang shrimp– Ditto✔️ The service? BEYOND decent!!! The marinated skirt stake with mashed potatoes and crunchy onions was delicious as well. However, my tummy was good to go after the martini and the shrimp☺️.

The bill was a little more than $1K however, with drinks, tax and tip we were ‘all good’. All in all it was a decent evening

This is one of the better smaller steakhouses. Everything from this place is good. I don’t have any complaints at all. The service was phenomenal. The food was excellent. Keep up the good work! Definitely worth a try.

Is kinda of hard to find if you driving to fast… the valet parking ppl are great!!! Got there 15 minutes ahead of time!!! And still have to wait 30 minutes after our reservation WTH??? Is like they surprised we showed up for the reservation!?!? lol and then give us a seat by the bar by the front door and we went there in the winter time!! Also there where ppl that walk in before me with no reservation that a table about 10 before us and got a regular table not a bar table WTH!!! Then we had to wait another 15 to 18 minutes for the waiter to show up!! He was great guy forgot the name tho!!! I know his a veteran tho!!! We order a few dinner specials and also another friend that said that thr porterhouse was good so we order one!! Everything was of the hook!!! But the porterhouse suck big time it came out dry out and the guy brought it back in and try to make it better but just came back with alot of liquefied butter on it!! Maybe the master chef was not there for steaks that day!!! Crab cake was off the hook!!! Bacon was of thr hook!!!

Had a very lovely experience at Jake’s Steakhouse in East Meadow. We had reservations and were seated right away at a clean, comfortable, roomy booth with an actual real candle Our server was Stephanie who was very friendly and attentive and a pleasure ☺️ Coconut Martini was delicious to start… We had the bacon wrapped scallops with green apples gastrique and they were delightful. Also enjoyable were the filet mignon and bone in rib eye which we shared and paired with the garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and grilled asparagus. For dessert we had the creme brulee and the Bread Pudding which Jake’s is well known for. We were checked on by the gracious host during our visit and were really made to feel appreciated as customers. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s the steakhouse quality menu without the ridiculously exorbitant prices. The atmosphere is upscale casual and never snobby!!! 5 stars all across the board Jake’s! Thank you

I did DoorDash- first time ordering from Jack’s. Wanted a good wedge salad and a burger. The wedge salad came totally deconstructed with no blue cheese. Only 2 slices of tomato. The burger was ice cold. Very disappointed for spending so much on something that Outback or a diner does so well.
