We went for the first time today. We arrived about 11:20 AM on Sunday. There were several people there already, but it was packed by noon. They had a Prime Rib special at a very reasonable price. Our server, Megan, was excellent! She answered all our questions and gave us various options, like the different additions to the Guinness Chili that I ordered. I got shredded cheese and sour cream. Both come on the side. The Chile is so good! It’s got just the right amount of spicy kick! The shredded cheese and sour cream helped calm the kick. I also got the grilled cheese sandwich. It was perfect! Just like Mom used to make! There were four (4) halves! I proceeded to dunk the grilled cheese in my chili. Yum!!! My son, Matthew, got the Sticky Pickle Burger and French Fries. Oh man it looked good! I tried several of the french fries. I loved them! Appeared to be fresh hand cut. Matthew said that the burger was outstanding! He ordered two (2) beef patties. The pickles were deep-fried. He said that the BBQ sauce was very tasty. The bun was very fresh too. The beef was flavorful and juicy. It sure looked good, and he loved it!
We were stuffed, but we ordered a dessert to go, for later. The dessert was called “All Gas, No Brake”. It consists of a Honeybun, wrapped in bacon, and covered in strawberry compote. OMG!!!! We just heated it in the microwave, and split it. We covered ours in whipped cream. The flavor combos were fantastic! Maybe it’s a good thing that we don’t live close enough to eat at J³ every day.

Busy Friday night but the wait was not bad at all. Definitely the juke joint vibe with a couple of bars and a stage. The burger had good flavor and the BBQ was moist and tender. And the fries. Lots of fries. A nice addition to the Northport food scene

The food was disgustingly bad! I’ll pass! Took one bite and gagged! The green beans had vinegar and some sort of sweet sauce !!!!! The macaroni was dry with peppers…. disgusting! The pull pork had no seasoning!!! I won’t be back.

Everything started off nice, warm welcoming greeting. And then everything went haywire. Me and my three children visited after a Kentucky Alabama game. We were seated in a location where we had to use our cell phones light to read the menu. The server was young but pretty good. The bartender screwed up all of our drinks. Had to get the manager. The food was good, extremely poor customer service.

I ordered the Miller G hamburger, since it is their signature burger. The meat was very tasty and cooked just right, juicy and not to crisp. For $12, the meat was on the small side. I ordered the signature sauce on the side. I’m glad I did, because it was not remarkable. The cheese tasted like a Kraft single. The slice of tomato was a little bit larger than a pickle. The shoestring fries, cut in-house, could’ve been slightly thicker. They were fried in beef tallow and were lightly salted. The serving was copious and very tasty. All in all, this was a good meal.

We live close by and visited for the first time recently, and really enjoyed the food! Waitress was kind and helpful. We visited at a random time so it wasn’t busy. Hubby and I both enjoyed what we ordered, and will definitely be back soon!

The owner listens to his patrons. They put a prime rib Philly on a special and after several customers raving about it, (me included) they added it to the regular menu. I’ve been coming here since they opened and even though they have gone through some growing pains, they have always went above and beyond with service. They run out of food because everything is fresh and fantastic. I wish other local owned businesses worked as hard to provide a great experience. The food is great just like the service. And they are listening to us who come here to spend money.

Update 12/26/25: still will give the 5 star review. Wings were delicious those messy fries were great! My husband got the chicken with bacon and honey mustard on it and he has still talked about that today. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Keep it up yall!
Great spot. Chicken wings are delicious. That white BBQ sauce though was amazing! Pork chop was tender and a really good taste to it. Definitely recommend eating here.

Ok my wife has been wanting to eat here after this place was in the Tuscaloosa Magazine. What a total let down. My wife ordered the Steak, and had to send it back not once, but twice. Twice it was cooked wrong that is just amazing to me how bad the food was. I got the pulled pork and I can say my food was just as horrible as hers. She finally got box to take it home, we were not sending it back for a 3rd time. It needed to be sent back for a 3rd time. How this place has good ratings is beyond me. Good place to get food poisoning. How hard is it to cook a stead medium well, I guess they don’t have a clue. I would advise unless you want to wind up in the er getting your stomach pumped its not the place to go. Food was disgusting.
