An institution in West Chester for decades, you know to get cheap beer by the pitcher here. Still selling shirts for $5 many generations of students and alumni have visited these sacred stools.

Jake’s is always a fun time to grab a pitcher with great company at the end of the night. It’s always enjoyable and a must go spot in West Chester during warm summer nights. Bring cash.

Bar tender expected me and my friend to tip more than 25% for ordering one pitcher, 25% tip is more than generous for that level of work. It is also extremely unprofessional to ask for MORE tip in any circumstance, very embarrassing.

Great cheap dive bar. A West Chester institution. Cash only. Brings back memories of my 20s.

No food but the atmosphere is great, been coming here for a while now and besides late nights helping Dwayne stack chairs, I’ve never had a bad time. The bartender is a great guy too.

1 dollar drafts and an incredible atmosphere. Yes, it’s basically a dive bar, and that is exactly what makes it awesome, espcially in the era of the over priced gastropub.

Wow. I have never experienced such horrible service. The owner took my (25 year old) I.D. on a Monday night, claiming it was fake, it was not. He then called the police and as we waited he verbally assaulted and berated both me and my significant other and tried to kick us out while he had possession of our identification. I have been to this establishment previously and have never had an issue. It seems like the owner was on a power trip and refused to admit he was wrong. Such a shame, it used to be a good place, the owner ruined it, even his own employees admitted he was being unreasonable.

Jake’s bar is a dive bar that is hard to come by these days. I see a lot of complaints about cash and I get it but this is one of the appeals for me. Whenever I’d go to Jake’s I’d just get 60 bucks out of my bank(never actually used it all) and I’d have a great night. Usually I’d tip the bartender per drink and that would usually end me up with pretty good service. Always a fun place to get a round with the boys and always a pleasure to go.
