Couldn’t believe we were able to just walk in and get seated right away, and then everything that happened after was just perfect. The space was beautiful, the service was terrific—both our server and the back waiter gave us loads of helpful info about the area and even the art on the walls—and the food was stellar. We split a burger and it was done perfectly. 100% will come here again, possibly even on this same visit!

Food was perfectly prepared but I think our waiter forgot to put our order in. It was busy so understandable. Prices were very fair.
The atmosphere was great but be aware that there are different seating zones, I think the inner court next to the bar is the noisiest.
The deserts were excellent.
The weird think is that on the toilets in the restrooms, there is a sign that says to not put toilet paper in the toilet. Seriously, put human waste in the overflowing trash can, in a restaurant?

We met friends here for lunch. It has been renovated and expanded since we last ate here a couple years ago and the ambience has improved considerably. Yet the dining area is still narrow, evoking a closed-in feel. Our waiter was friendly but not too timely. Our selections (soup and sandwiches) were fine. Dessert however (classic chocolate cake) was rather disappointing because of being just too dense and a little dry for my taste.

Jake’s is solid. We have been here a few times for lunch and it’s always been lovely. Most recently we went for dinner and it was even better. It’s simple cusine, but nice, the service is friendly and the ambiance really good, with a large patio whose centerpiece is a beautiful bar. Simple yet elegant

It used to be good. Now the front staff seem poorly trained and inefficient. Last night they didn’t know the menu and took forever with drinks though it wasn’t busy. The entrees were decent though skimpy for the price—three tiny stems of asparagus with my meatloaf. The worst was getting a slice of cake to go, then opening it at home to find two partial slices chucked in the box. What, it’s too hard to cut cake properly?

Atmosphere is still nice but I won’t be going back. It’s a bummer, I used to like Jake’s.

Jake’s brunch was really enjoyable! The service was quick and friendly. The food is tasty and appealing. They have various seating areas, a small patio up front, a small area indoors and a courtyard in the back. I prefer any of those areas over a loud enclosed dining room. They have lot’s of huge cakes for dessert to choose from that I saved for my next visit. Jakes can be easier to get into than other brunch spots in the area, so don’t pass it up! Very well worth the visit!

Recently remodeled this is a Palm springs staple. Very consistent quality food in a beautiful outdoor setting. Ask to sit in the courtyard. You can also sit outside on the sidewalk but I personally prefer the interior courtyard. Food was all excellent and only order one slice of cake since they are huge and very shareable.

This was my second time at Jake’s and enjoyed it just as much. The first time was a boozy brunch with girlfriends. This second time was a double date with friends.

We started with the fried calamari. It was solid.

I had the Chilean sea bass which was really good. My husband had the seafood pad Thai and he really enjoyed it. Our friends enjoyed their meals as well.

We ended with the hummingbird cake and he princess cake. Both were huge and tasty but nothing to write home about.

Overall this was a good experience and I look forward to going back.
