The Lamb on Dry Land (8.5/10) was my favorite dish. The cumin-spiced lamb was perfectly seasoned and cooked with not too much fat on them (so quite easy to chew) and the hand-pulled naan pieces were so flavorful and crispy on the outside. It soaks up all the sauce so very flavorful. There’s a subtle spice to it that grows the more you eat it and numbs you.

The Jahunger noodles (7.5/10) had a very fun texture. Very bouncy, chewy yet soft and flavorful. The flavor isn’t as strong (like no kick like the Lamb on Dry Land) but works well with the thinly-sliced beef and stir-fried veggies. However, there were some parts of the beef that was hard to chew, and I expected the flavor to have more of a kick.

The Honey Cake (6.5/10) had a coffee and honey flavor. It pairs well with the ice cream which is also coffee flavored. It wasn’t too sweet but the cake itself was slightly dry.

Note on service: I understand there’s a waitlist, and we waited about 40 minutes to be seated and another 40 minutes for the food, which is understandable given how busy it was. However, it felt quite overwhelming when the waitstaff began pushing the check and asking about to-go boxes after we’d only been eating for about 28 minutes, and we were clearly still eating our food.

I liked the Jahunger noodle, noodles were great, but I found the meat a bit chewy, it could be easier to tear off. Scallion pancake was great. I also liked the lamb kavap, it was very tasty. The beans were great too, though the peppercorn could be used less, it numbs the tongue more than necessary. The black tea is a great compliment. Ambiance is nice, staff is very helpful. They are kid friendly, though they should learn to make training chopsticks for the kids. Overall, great restaurant.

Firstly, be sure to come early especially if coming in the weekend. The lines tend to get long and they will put you on a waitlist. Your whole party needs to be present when you get seated.

Food was good. I thought it was a tad too salty and spicy for my taste. Be aware that the chicken stew has a lot of bones in it. I liked the texture of its hand pulled noodles though.

My favorite dish would have to be their honey cake. It was so good that we decided to recreate that cake at home! Definitely not your typical cake. It has just the right amount of sweetness and moisture.

A unique Uyghur restaurant serving traditional-fusion dishes. Out of all the dishes I have tried, if you are looking to eat soup/both based, you can try the Jahunger Noodles. I asked for maximum spice level. The portion size is good enough for 2 people. The shank is very unique. It is a dry dish but the shank combined with the thin cut fries were very interesting to me!

Outstanding food here! I came here for the B-Side supper club and left with a very full belly. They brought over tons of food—scallion pancakes, dumplings, noodles, green beans, rice, some kind of tofu dish, and they even finished off the meal with some honey cake. My favorites were probably the noodles and the green beans (both were a little spicy!), but the cake was 10/10 too. Definitely go here! I had a wonderful experience at this Uyghur restaurant! From the moment my friend and I walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and a gracious welcome! The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to providing excellent service through your our meal.

I ordered the chicken stew and laghman, and both dishes were AMAZING! The flavors were rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced!

I was honestly surprised to see comments mentioning unprofessional service, as our experience was completely the opposite. Everyone we interacted with was courteous and welcoming from start to finish!

Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem in Cambridge. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience authentic Uyghur cuisine.

It was an overall good experience! If you like lamb, you’ll especially have a lot of options here.

We went all out and got the jahunger noodles (very filling), original mi fen (yummy but salty), lamb shank (meat was soft!), skewers (big chunks, 3 total), and honey cake. All of the dishes were good, but we particularly enjoyed the skewers and honey cake!

Taking one star off for wait time (50 minutes, early Saturday night) and hard parking, but otherwise would recommend.

I’m a bit mystified as to the other reviews proclaiming this is the best food they’ve had all year – I think my meal here was…fine. I’m sad about it because i think it’s so amazing that Uyghur food is starting to appear in Boston but i think either I ordered terribly badly or the food was just OK.

The eggplant dish (spicy tiger) had a lingering sourness and the meat on the roast lamb was tough and gristly 🙁 I was so so sad about this. I think there should have been some extra seasoning provided (like a cumin spice mix) on the side for it as well. The string beans and chicken stew were good.

Overall I would come back once more to try more dishes but overall I was disappointed given the rave reviews.

The staff is not that attentive and their service is not fast….
But I haven’t had better Asian Cuisine filled with spices and stewed to a perfection which makes your tongue simmer with the chillie oils and other spices. Each dish with its own balance of flavors that peak your interest with the first bite and cuddle your soul with the warm feeling of satisfaction. The texture of the noodles were perfect in density and delicate under the pressure of each bite. The Scallion Pancakes crispy outside and sticky core gave each bite a fulfilling, and satisfying crunch and closed with succulent chew. Make the trip from wherever you are to enjoy this cuisine full of incredible flavors.

The hand-pulled noodles were excellent, perfectly chewy texture. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The dumpling appetizers were good as was the dessert. One of our party members does really poorly with spice and the staff was nice and accommodating to her. Expect a wait (we waited about 45 minutes for a group of four), there is an iPad system. Parking in the area was a bit of a problem, most of the streets are resident permit only.
