Food stinks Chicken pita was beat nothing to write home about , signature rice was flavorless. Great place inside, very nice decor and clean but thats about it. Over rated by alot. Staff is confused most of the time on how to make said orders. Not sure all the hype or why its always busy. I dont get it ?

If you are anywhere near Falmouth and you haven’t tried Jafa Mediterranean Food yet… you are seriously missing out.
This place is next-level.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell everything is made fresh. The flavors are bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced — nothing bland, nothing overdone. The shawarma is insanely tender and seasoned to perfection, the falafel is crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the hummus? Unreal. Creamy, rich, and clearly made from scratch.
And let’s talk about the portions — they do NOT skimp. You get generous plates loaded with fresh ingredients that actually fill you up. Every bite tastes like it was made with care, not just thrown together.
The staff is friendly, welcoming, and you can feel the pride behind the food. It’s the kind of spot that turns into your “regular place” after one visit.
Clean, flavorful, satisfying, and authentic — hands down some of the best Mediterranean food in Maine.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the BEST places to go with family and friends. Every staff member in Jaffa so friendly, welcoming, and kind. The food is very fresh and delicious and they loaded with all kind of stuff. The place is very clean and the bathrooms very clean too.

I was excited to find a local Mediterranean restaurant. I was disappointed by the food and atmosphere. I was served quickly. I ordered the Gyro in a pita. The pita was dry and chewy. The meat was dripping from some sort of liquid and I couldn’t finish the gyro because the pita got very soggy. I asked for sauces on the side (twice) and the attendant immediately smeared tzatziki sauce over the pita. I don’t like wasting food so didn’t correct him. The garlic and spices are overwhelming. I’m sure my breath is horrendous. The music wasn’t authentic and was rather grating. The first empty table and bench I chose had food on them. It wasn’t busy and I couldn’t understand why they didn’t wipe things down. I hope they improve and that they serve fresher pita bread and meat in the future.

The new construction with glass, clean atmosphere and high ceilings is very nice. But that’s pretty much where it ends —
– Dinner shift is run by a bunch of bumbling idiots who drop things on the dirty floor and pick them up and put them back on the shelf, run into each other, scrape the bottoms of everything (rather than replacing with fresh), even if it’s old crumbles left of the chicken scraping off the metal tin, lazy, don’t answer the phone ringing off the hook – I counted 6 times! Almost hilarious to watch – like watching the Three Stooges run a restaurant.
– Dinner experience didn’t give the fries we ordered for 15+ minutes, I guess they forgot then found the order.
– Lunch shift seems to have food prep together but greet you with Palestinian flags (removed in the afternoon for some reason?), bringing politics to the place – why be political at all? Seems rude and abrasive. Lady kept trying to input one more dish than we ordered – maybe thinking I wouldn’t notice? Seemed annoyed.
– Food quality seems to start good then get worse and worse throughout the day – meat isn’t taken off the doner kebab machine in the rear – rather – stored in a tray to dry out throughout the day. Falafel you are lucky if it is fresh – they make large batches at once, then they just sit in trays.
I realy want to like this food, and have given it a few tries (with other people taking me, luckily, or I’d be even more angry). Won’t be back.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, having never tried Mediterranean food before, but this place completely blew me away! From the first bite, I was hooked—the flavors were fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. The space was impressively clean, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely a fan now and can’t wait to come back for more. If you haven’t tried Mediterranean cuisine, this is the perfect place to start!
