Compact, modest restaurant serving family-style portions of traditional Chinese fare.

Still a great neighborhood place for good Chinese foods with less wait in the morning since it sort off tuck on small street away from the main streets in Chinatown. Drive by other places that we want to try but seeing the lines so we went here. No line at 11ish am. But our usual table and quick ordered and the foods came out within 10mins. It’s hot, delicious and just big portion that we have to take home the left over for 2 lunch meals. The prices are so cheaper and with the portions, we love it. Great & friendly service & quick too. Glad I came back here with less hassle. By the time we leave, the place is packed. Parking can be tricky since it’s street parking so good luck with that.

Got the tofu and Shanghai ribs and green string beans. Tofu was stellar, served in a rich sauce that went very well over rice. Green string beans good but a little sweet. The ribs were very flavorful, just a little too fatty and sweet in some parts. But overall very good. Lot of food for the price. Will return.

My friend brought me to this local family owned restaurant. I was surely amazed by the small establishment ran by husband and wife.
The food we ordered was all on point.
The tea duck was so juicy and delicious. It was the best I have ever eaten.
The snow pea tips were so fresh and young that there was no leftover with a huge portion.
Then the house tofu had the best texture and smooth tasting. The dish has some grounded pork and pickle vegetables. This order is their signature dish and now I can see why.
The Server was very polite and helpful the whole time we were there. She was checking on us regularly eventhough it was very busy.
A must go restaurant in LA!!!

GET THE HOUSE SPECIAL TOFU. I don’t care if you don’t like tofu or want tofu. Do yourself a favor and get it. I’ve never had anything like it before. We got the tea smoked duck and green beans but the star was the tofu. It’s fried slabs of egg tofu that almost taste like custard, covered with a rich flavorful and almost sweet sauce that goes beautifully with rice. This is one of those dishes I’ll be thinking about for years.

Had lunch at Jade Wok near Chinatown and honestly, it hit the spot. The standout for me was definitely the sweet and savory spareribs. They’re sticky, flavorful, and perfectly tender with just a bit of chew. Exactly how you want Chinese-style spareribs to be. The glaze is rich and garlicky with a nice hint of sweetness, and the green onions and sesame seeds on top gave it a nice little pop.
We also got the stir-fried greens, which were super simple but fresh and cooked just right. A little crunch, a little tenderness + great as a balance to the heavier dishes.
And the braised tofu with minced pork came in a deep, savory sauce that soaked into the tofu beautifully. The tofu was fried just enough to give it some texture on the outside while staying soft inside. Super comforting.
It’s not a fancy spot, but the food comes out hot, portions are generous, and everything tastes like it was cooked with care. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and want that classic Chinese comfort food vibe.

This secret little restaurant has a unique soft tofu dish with a brown gravy containing ground meat, green onions and other ingredients. The chicken and mushroom dish had Shiitake mushrooms, fresh mushrooms, chicken, broccoli and other vegetables. It’s very yummy, homey and satisfying. They have a crunchy Hong Kong style noodle option which is different than the normal yellow, thin, crispy egg noodle or wheat noodle. Their Ong Choy vegetables were fantastic! Sesame chicken was good. It’s like Popcorn Chicken, but with a slightly sweet sesame coating. I added some new ones. House special Egg Foo Young. Good! Beef Chow Fun noodles. Beef stew and won ton mein soup. Lots of bok choy! Added plus!

I came with a group of friends on Sunday night and everything was AMAZING! I’m still thinking about the tofu dish, two days later. The ladies were also SO sweet…I actually regret not tipping more. (And not ordering a dish to go). The prices were also incredibly reasonable for ALL the food we ordered. We will definitely be back, and I’ll be adding extra to the tip next time!

We’ve been going to Jade Wok for many years, and the food has consistently been excellent. The quality has stayed great throughout the years, which is hard to find. My favorite dishes are the House Special Tofu, Sesame Chicken, and House Special Beef—they’re always flavorful and cooked perfectly. Beyond the food, the service is wonderful. The owner is very kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better every time we visit. Highly recommend Jade Wok!

So good. Came here because the reviews were positive and it did not disappoint! The tofu was how everyone described it and the fried rice, chicken, and string beans were all amazing. The best part was our incredibly kind server who reminded me of my mom she was truly so kind and I wanted to get to know her more! 真好吃!
Didn’t get pics of when I was there but turns out leftovers are just as great.
