Response to owner-
Having written over 400 reviews, I never go into a place with malicious intent, and I stopped by your place simply because I like that you had American flags out front. If your person greeted me, I did not hear it, so therefore does it really count.
This is my opinion, and therefore not slandering your business, simply stating my experience. Your response shows no intent to make things right nor appease the customer.
I stand by my statements, and promise to never frequent either of your shops for your sub par cookies.

I went in on 9/19/25 a little after 1:00 pm. The place was quiet and empty and upon entering I said “hello” to the lone female behind the counter. No response. Odd.
I was at the counter, her directly opposite me behind the counter, no eye contact, and I again said “hello” in a friendly “hey I am here” type of way. She looked up at me, and with somewhat of a sneer said “I said hello”.

Well, my goodness! I simply replied “well, I didn’t hear you” and she said nothing. At that point, I now wish I had just turned around and walked out.

I inquired about the cookies and she said they were $5 a cookie. I asked “for one cookie?” because they were nothing special to look at. Plain cookies, no decorations or frosting or anything. I asked about the prices for a half dozen and a dozen and for a dozen she quoted me over $50 (my jaw was on the floor so I do not remember the exact price but it was mid 50’s). For twelve plain cookies.

At this point I am thinking to myself that they must be some absolutely amazing cookies that this place can charge that much for a cookie. I know there are some wealthy people in Suntree, but seriously, this price was absurd. I caved to my curiosity, and got 6 cookies for a total of $27.82. These better be some good cookies!

Shortly thereafter I arrived home, made a cup of coffee and pulled out a Snickerdoodle cookie. I broke it in half and sat down to savor it thoughtfully. The texture was semi-soft and it appeared to have cinnamon on the outside. The inside was snow white and the cookie had a faint aroma of cinnamon. I bit into the cookie and it was soft and tender, and completely and totally flavorless. I think of shortbread cookies as flavorless, and they had more flavor than this floured mass sitting between my fingers. “But there must be some mistake” my brain said. $5 for this cookie….. maybe I drank the coffee too soon after biting it. Another bite. Nope, no mistake. No flavor- at all. Not wanting to waste calories on something tasteless, I disposed of the remainder of the cookie in the bin.

After a tasty dinner of homemade pizza, I decided to try the oatmeal cranberry cookie. I liked the unconventional addition of the cranberry to a traditional oatmeal cookie. I noted that the cookie looked like it had been made using a mold as the sides of the cookie were perfectly perpendicular to the bottom. Unusual.
I attempted to break the cookie in half, but was unsuccessful due to the extremely hard nature of the cookie. I could break off small sections of the cookie, but they were very hard. I tried a bite, and I have had crunchy oatmeal cookies before, but these were not crunchy, just solidly hard. They were also overly sweet and not very tasty at all. Another disappointing cookie. For $5.
I have a peanut butter and a chocolate chip left to try, but at this point my hopes are not high.

I have read other reviews (after visiting) and responses from the owner about “quality ingredients and artisan methods” and that is a bunch of nonsense. A quality cookie should feel good in your mouth, either crisp or chewy, should have a distinct taste of something, and not leave you disappointed. There is minimal “artisan technique “ in cookie baking as my kids used to make them all the time and they were 100 times better than these.
I wish when the girl behind the counter had snapped at me I had just turned around and left. I would have $27.82 back and I would not feel as if my good nature was taken advantage of.

Publix cookies are better.

Will not be back.

We popped in for a pastry on a recommendation, out of towners not knowing the area or who makes a great croissant. Very cute little cafe, with a friendly and welcoming staff. The pastry case makes it very hard to pick something so we went with an apple turnover and a chocolate croissant. We were not disappointed, I gobbled the chocolate croissant and only permitted my husband one smallish bite. A smidge pricey, but what isn’t these days. If I ever find myself back in this area, I will be test driving the quiche.

We were a bit disappointed with our visit. We ordered an almond croissant and a ham & cheese sandwich and asked for it to be warmed, but the ham was still cold and the croissant felt dry. The almond croissant also didn’t taste fresh at all.
For almost $19, we expected better quality. Hoping this was just an off day.

This morning I purchased an apple turnover and a croissant and neither one was fresh. They were definitely left over from at least yesterday. I don’t expect to pay the prices charged and then receive pastries which are not freshly baked.
I am writing this here because I posted this on IG and twice my comment was taken down!

I woke up this morning wanting a cinnamon roll. Did a quick google search and found the usual places. Clicked over to the second page and found this Gem. I read over the reviews and decided to ignore a couple of poor reviews.
I walked in and was greeted immediately. The place was very clean and everything looked delicious. I ordered the cinnamon roll, apple turnover, peanut butter cookie, and a snickerdoodle cookie. Then I decided I needed a coffee, I went with a peppermint mocha.
I brought everything home and heated the cinnamon roll up for 20 seconds. Shared it with my Husband and regretted not getting two of them. My Coffee was wonderful and I can’t wait to try everything else. Needless to say I will be back.
I wanted to take a second to address my thoughts on the poor reviews I read. I believe that people are ignorant about what it takes to operate any type of Business. They only see the product and maybe an employee in front of them. What they don’t see is the overhead cost of ingredients, machinery, electricity, rent, payroll, taxes, insurance, and all the other expenses a business has just to provide you a service or product. Prices are based on paying all those bills and a small profit that must be made in order to stay in business.

Loved the French baguette and the croissants, didn’t really like the cookies or eclairs. I wish I did, they were beautiful made but so so sweet. They have amazing coffee and so many other pastries here and it’s made fresh daily. Come check it out! They have tables inside and out for dining and have sandwiches and quiche as well. Great selection and location.

A Great place for a delicious breakfast.
Jacqueline’s Bakery on Wickham is a wonderful place to get a meal. It is right along Wickham road in Suntree. There is plenty of parking. As you approach, the inviting aroma of freshly baked goods beckons you inside. The selection is nothing short of impressive, offering a tantalizing array of treats to satisfy any craving, from flaky croissants to decadent cakes. It could be a haven for pastry enthusiasts. The service at Jacqueline’s is warm and welcoming. The staff members were eager to assist us in finding what we wanted for breakfast. The counter is directly in front of the entry door with the display case to the right with lots of treats. You order at the counter and they prepare your food and either call you or bring it to your table. The majority of the seating is inside with a few 2-person tables outside on both sides of the entry. The seating inside is a mix of tables along 2 walls. I ordered a slice of quiche. It came out quickly and was very good. The prices are reasonable for our current economy. It was about $9 for a quiche Lorraine slice. The cozy ambiance and delectable offerings make Jacqueline’s Bakery on Wickham a must-visit destination for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for excellent service.

I’ve been disappointed every time I’ve been here. “Oh, just give it another try,” they said. No. Go to Publix. Their bakery is superior in flavor, texture, quality, and price. The staff is unwelcoming and indifferent. I asked about having a cheesecake made, and instead of just telling me they don’t do cheesecake, they just looked at me like I was stupid.

I wouldn’t even recommend this place to a snowbird.
