Went here for brunch. We had the green shakshuka and french toast. Everything was great! It’s really just your standard brunch place, but cute vibes, helpful staff, and some
unique mixes. The green shakshuka was amazing! The fruit juices were fresh and delicious.

I had dinner with a friend here last night and luckily didn’t get salmonella poisoning. I ordered the peri-peri chicken and ate half of it before cutting into the second half to find it rare. I told our server and she took it back to the kitchen to continue cooking it. The bartender brought us homemade cantaloupe juice while I waited for my chicken to meet USDA food preparation guidelines. To say I wasn’t interested in eating the rest of the chicken is an understatement. It also felt strange that the staff didn’t have more of a reaction or apology. It felt casual to them while I went home hoping that in 6-12 hrs I didn’t feel the effects of food poisoning. A near miss.

I recently visited Jack’s Wife Freda for the first time at their new location, after trying their other spot a few years ago. The food, as expected, was excellent. The menu offers delicious options, and everything I tried was flavorful and well-prepared.

The space is a bit small, so if you’re coming with a larger group, I would recommend making a reservation in advance. While I was there, I noticed a few people working on their laptops, but it didn’t seem like the best environment for that—it’s more of a place to hang out and enjoy a good meal with friends or family.

The customer service was fantastic. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had a great experience. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Jack’s Wife Freda if you’re looking for a cozy, enjoyable brunch spot with great food and service. Definitely worth the visit!

We had an incredible dining experience here. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. I highly recommend trying the cauliflower, it was outstanding! The cocktails selection was also impressive and paired perfectly with our meal.

Overall, a fantastic restaurant with top-notch service, delicious food, and a great ambiance. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The food at Jack’s Wife Freda was delightful, with standout items like the malva dessert and the perfectly crafted Old Fashioned. The flavors were well-balanced and memorable, making the meal itself a highlight. However, the experience was held back by some practical issues. The seating, particularly in the center, was quite uncomfortable and not ideal for a relaxed dinner. Additionally, the ordering process was slower than expected, which detracted from the overall enjoyment.

While I appreciated the quality of the food and drinks, the seating and service could use some improvement to make the dining experience more comfortable and seamless. Still, it’s a spot worth trying for the unique dishes and drinks.

The activities for kids were a fantastic touch, especially the fire engine building activity, which was a big hit. It made the meal more enjoyable for the whole family. A great spot for families with young children!

Really good food; I especially liked the grilled halloumi and rosewater waffle ! The poached eggs dish was a bit small for brunch so would recommend adding a salad. Anyways, top notch service & pleasant experience otherwise 🙂

Absolutely spectacular food, especially for the casual dining prices. I loved the steak, sauces, and potatoes in Jack’s breakfast. My mother was very impressed with her sandwich. The drinks were all received well.
