One of the Worst Dining Experiences I’ve Had
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Jack’s # 386 (9701 Parkway East, Birmingham, Al 35235), was so disappointing that I feel it’s worth sharing. The food was completely watered down—bland, flavorless, and clearly not prepared with any care or quality. What should have been a meal worth the price felt more like reheated leftovers drowned in water.
To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was inconveniencing them by simply being there. Basic courtesy was missing, and instead of hospitality, I was met with dismissive attitudes and poor service.
Between the watered-down food and the unprofessional staff, I would not recommend Jack’s to anyone. There are far better places to spend your time and money.

The place was dirty and needed cleaning. There were 6 employees and 2 managers visible to me so it wasn’t because they were short staff. There was no pride in the appearance. Trash on the floors and counters along with dust hanging on the bottom of the menu board. The parking lot also was in need of trash and debris removal.
They were out of mac-n-cheese, green beans and Cole slaw for the chopped steak dinner. The two fried chicken breast dinner tasted like the fryer oil needed changing.
The ice cream freezer lid was open and not used or touched during my 10 minute wait for my order. Some of the ice cream had obviously been in there a while.
Overall everything was just mediocre. Jack’s is usually one of the better fast food restaurants in the area but I was a little disappointed on this trip. Especially for it to be around 7:15pm.

Went to Jacks this evening because I wanted to experience the loaded fried chicken potato bowl; and I got a bowl with 3 uncut chicken tenders with a small piece of bacon and probably a tablespoon full of corn it is a hot mess. It is terrible that we pay money to be treated like this; I could have done this at home myself. This is ridiculous!

The food could be better, some of the staff doesn’t put fourth the best effort. But it can be hectic at times and I do feel that they attempt at times To give a quality service. Also outside light need to be left on over night to detour issues and improve the atmosphere please take this into consideration.

The drive thru worker from today was amazing, she’s very patient and friendly, I believe she said her name is Ambrosia. We ordered a Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a Bigger Jack meal!

The food was okay but the customer service made the experience horrible. I placed a mobile order and waiting patiently in the drive thru for about 20 minutes. I asked at the window if I could pay for an additional sauce since the app does not give the option. The manager working the window immediately got loud and said No you cannot and told me other people food was up there waiting. In the amount of time she spent belittling me about a sauce she could have taken the money and gave me the sauce. She made such a scene that the employee behind her started to laugh. It is not okay to treat customers this way. She acted as if I wanted to add a meal. I simply wanted to pay for an additional sauce.
