Do not get the steak cause you’ll be very disappointed and you’ll feel robbed. They advertise an 8 oz steak with the steak and eggs, but my steak was small and paper thin!! I’ve cooked 8 oz ribeyes myself regularly and I have a pretty good idea of what they look like, but there’s no way this steak was ribeye OR 8 oz, more like a 5-6oz sliver of beef. For $20 I expect to get a steak that doesn’t taste like water too no, I mean NO seasoning on it at all. This is the kinda steak you NEED sauce with. I’ve had a lot of steak in my life and this was hands down the worst one I’ve ever eaten. I think the Waffle House steak is probably better than this
Also the half chicken plate is gonna look great but the pieces of chicken aren’t even that big, it’s just all breading. Also, the breading was literally raw under the layer of crispy outer edges. My husband thinks this is what made him sick, but something from here also made me sick!! Stay away!!
The last time I was here a few days ago I got ok food but not so much in service. The waitress was attentive at first while taking orders but then afterwards pretty much ignored me and my wife, not even dropping by to see if we needed more water. The fries on my order were forgotten initially and then came out a few moments later and were dried and tasteless as if they had been sitting under a heat source for a while.
It was a slow night so it’s not like the place was busy. I tipped about 18% on a 60$ meal and as I’m leaving I’m overhearing the wait staff and kitchen staff disparaging the tip. Someone needs to tell them their voices carry; honestly for the service, the wait staff is lucky I tipped at all. Why should I tip higher for the service I got? I’ve been to places where the staff fall over themselves to refil and generally make the experience pleasent.
I like Jacks, and I’m not expecting a 5 star michevalli experience, but this experience alone makes me want to go elsewhere where I can at least not overhear people complain.
If you’re a pancake fan you should absolutely substitute your toast for their pancakes.
We weren’t seated but handed menus and told where to sit.
There was nothing good about our food or the service.
