Our bartender Claudia was very nice and welcoming. We did come with my service dog, I asked beforehand if it was okay and they said of course. I ordered one beer and before I could even take a sip some “manager” came over stating that she could not be here. I proceeded to say that she is a service animal and didn’t mind showing her paperwork although I didn’t have to. Manager seemed very under the influence. Coming up while smoking a cigarette. Asked what type of service. Told him. And proceeded to question me. Nonetheless, we will not be recommending or coming back here. Very unprofessional.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. Our bartender was absolutely amazing, however, the manager was obviously drunk. Still serving food and came up to us while smoking a cigarette. I had my service dog which apparently wasn’t allowed and asked what kind of service my dog provides. Felt very unwelcomed. STUMBLED away stated he was “just doing his job” also got one shot and one beer, came out to over 20 bucks. DO NOT TAKE YOUR SERVICE AMINAL THERE. They do have a pet cat. I’m sure that’s better than dogs when the cat is walking all over the counters.
EDIT: I have read other reviews and based on the responses from management I understand why there are so many 1 star reviews.

Pulled into St. Augustine Beach late and grabbed a bite to eat from a friend’s recommendation for a local non chain eatery. We did not have the energy to tour the brewery. Woody was our bartender-server and provided excellent service. There’s a pool in the center which I thought was pretty cool. The food was good and I tried a light beer and it was tasty! The mozzarella stick had the longest pull I ever seen. My bacon cheddar burger was on Texas toast, great last second change.

Brewery review only. Stopped by to taste some of the beers from the brewery part. First off, the building is made up of three different bars and to get to the brewery involves either going through one of the outside bars (neither of which pours the breweries beers!) THEN cutting through the pool or skirting around the outside of the pool table area and finding the small alley way that leads to the brewery door towards the back. Odd at best. After getting there you will see a chalk board with about 10 different beers listed and some guest taps. The friendly bartender poured me several of their beers, some German styles that were off and not crisp as the style calls for (guessing incorrect grains used). I caught a Brett character in a couple of the beers too that was off putting and unexpected. I got the Daitil Brown Ale which I felt needed more caramel taste to it and a bit more heat. It was fairly under carbonated and the plastic glassware was dirty. Overall this place is a pass for me.

I am a local and have been to Jack’s so many times, but the past couple have been pretty disheartening. The first incident was that being a regular I know how much my same simple drink is and has always been priced there but I came another time and it was double the price and I heard the bartender laughing to the other calling us tourists. So not sure if she thought because we “looked like out of towners” she could charge more? The second time, same woman, we came with a couple of friends, also locals, and my friend had her service dog with her. The woman asked very rudely and loudly if that dog was a service animal despite her having her working vest on, and then my friend said yes and explained the medical services she provides, and the woman laughed and said something like yeah okay because we don’t allow dogs unless they’re service and that dog doesn’t look like one. It was honestly horrific and mind you there was also a non service dog sitting at the end of the bar with another customer… we decided to leave because she seemed like she didn’t even want to serve us. It was so rude we had people leave after us and drive up to us to apologize for her actions. Really just sad that this bartender has been prejudice and rude to us these couple of times now and we can’t enjoy such a good spot by the water anymore.

Don’t waste your time coming here. They have poor customer service. There are also random casino games inside. A woman stopped us outside and said that they didn’t open until 4:00 p.m.- they have a patio, but do not allow dogs, although a cat is allowed to live inside the bar area.
There was a guy drinking a beer outside who said he was trying to finish his drink as soon as he could so he can get out of this terrible bar.

Great place. Simple food but done well above standard. Excellent beer! Try them all. Short stay in the area but had come back. Opie, our server, was the nicest guy. Stop by here for a good burger, shrimp, pork or beef. All good. Zoom in on the pic. Great experience. I forgot to take a picture of the food because it looked too good to pause!
Added a photo of Jack 1 year later!
