Jeannette S.; Jack Rose Front of House Manager, is a gem—she is such a people person! Her upbeat demeanour made us feel at home. Like a conductor of a finely tuned orchestra, Jeannette set the tone and tempo of our fine dining experience.
On a previous night, we relaxed in the restaurant’s whimsical vintage themed lounge.
The service the food a true culinary Art everything we ordered was super delicious. They even brought us an ice cream cake for my friend birthday day.
We ended up in the rooftop and the drinks and the views were spectacular
Of course the decor and aesthetic is absolutely stunning. Normally you would expect a restaurant with beautiful interior to have meh food. Not the case here! Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious and flavorful. I wanted to try dessert so badly but I was too full from trying to finish my entire main course (it was that good). The cocktails were strong, if that’s your preference.
Would absolutely recommend Jack Rose for the experience, atmosphere, & food!
Eight of us found ourselves there multiple times during the week, not because it was convenient, but because it was inevitable. When a place gets it right, you return.
Let’s start with the pork cheeks. They’re gold-rated for a reason; award-winning, yes, but more importantly, deservedly so. Tender to the point of reverence. Rich without being heavy. The kind of dish that makes the table go quiet for a beat, followed by that slow nod that says, “Okay. This is serious.” It also says, “give me two portions and I’m not sharing”.
The new additions deserve their own applause. The garlic bread is not an afterthought carb; it’s architectural. Crisp, deeply aromatic, indulgent in the way only butter and restraint can coexist. The stuffed peppers? Magical is the only honest word. Balanced heat, thoughtful seasoning, and a depth that suggests someone in that kitchen respects tradition but isn’t imprisoned by it.
And the gumbo. My God. It doesn’t taste like restaurant gumbo. It tastes like someone’s grandmother still runs the stove. Dark roux, layered flavor, no shortcuts. It carries history in it.
We were a group of eight during Mardi Gras week which is a logistical challenge anywhere and yet the service never blinked. Pacing was deliberate. Recommendations were intelligent. No one was rushed. No one was forgotten. That’s operational excellence hiding inside Southern hospitality.
The dining room remains its own character; theatrical, lush, unapologetically New Orleans, but what stands out most is consistency. Different nights. Different parade schedules. Same standard every time.
Five stars feels transactional for a place that feels intentional.
Jack Rose doesn’t just participate in Mardi Gras. It rises above it.
We’ll be back. Obviously.
