Absolutely Delicious!
I ordered the Crab & Avocado Omelette and substituted the hash browns for fresh tomato slices — and it was perfect! The omelette was fluffy and packed with flavor, full of crab meat and topped with creamy cheese and avocado that melted together beautifully. The tomatoes added the perfect freshness to balance everything out. Portion size was generous, and the presentation looked amazing. Definitely one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!

We came here to watch some college football and loved the big screen—it’s mounted at a comfortable height, unlike many other sports bars.

The food exceeded expectations, even better than a lot of breakfast spots. I’m not a breakfast person and appreciate the uniqueness and effort in making the dishes stand out. They offer lattes, cappuccinos, plus some great cocktails and craft beers.

Service was on point—fast and efficient. The bartenders were friendly, hardworking, and really cool. For us, the quality of service and friendliness makes the experience, and this place nailed it.

We dine at very high-end restaurants on a weekly basis, and love balancing the experience with warm hospitality at a place that cares about the local community.

It’s easy to see why they have so many regulars—it really feels like a home away from home. This will definitely be our go-to spot for games.

The ambiance is nice and clean, and parking is easy in the large plaza.

3/3/26 I Instacart (Uber eats)ordered the Biscuits & Gravy with 2 eggs, bacon and a side of corned beef hash and fresh fruit. The eggs had nice color and the bacon was thick cut and tasty. The country gravy had WAY TOO MUCH cracked black pepper making it inedible for me. The biscuits were meh. The corned beef tasted and looked like it came out of a huge can and the slice was barely browned on only 1 side. The fruit looks delish. I saw pineapple and blackberries on top and it is a good size pint cup. I gave 4 stars because other folks may enjoy lots of course cracked black pepper. Unfortunately i can’t. Had the restaurant bothered to include a photo of the Biscuits and Gravy on Uber Eats the excessively large pieces of pepper corn would have been visible and i could have avoided it.

Stopped in here for a lunch and was happy with the meal. I ordered the crab melt which was good. Not the best I’ve had, but definitely good. Another person in our party ordered the crab and avocado omelet, which is their favorite there, and they loved it. It’s a very large serving, good for multiple meals. Service was good, not great. Overall, a good lunch.

We had the sea bass, chicken tenders, hamburger, and short rib ravioli. Everything was delicious. The salad that came with two of our meals was just ok. It was mainly just a pile of lettuce. The milkshakes were good. The beer was a little flat. We also had a virgin margarita that was just o.k. the staff was friendly and brought our meals pretty quickly.

I’m leaving this review so the owner is aware of how customers are being treated when he is not around.

I only patronize this restaurant because my dad enjoys that they serve breakfast all day, and when the owner is present, he is always incredibly kind and welcoming. He makes an effort to speak to us, builds great rapport, and truly makes people feel like valued regulars.

Unfortunately, our experience with the bartender Tony has been consistently rude and dismissive. This was my third negative encounter with him, and it’s disappointing because I was just starting to like this place.

On 1/17, we were watching the Broncos game and it went into overtime. While several customers were invested in the end of the game, another customer yelled, “Hey Tony, the 49ers game should be on.” Tony responded “I’m working on it,” and then changed all THREE TVs to the 49ers game; even though the game had not started yet and the screen showed more than 10 minutes until kickoff. Meanwhile, the Broncos game had about 6 minutes left in overtime.

We politely asked if he could put the Broncos game on at least one of the TVs since there are multiple TVs and people were clearly watching overtime. Tony rolled his eyes and insisted that “everyone in the restaurant wants to watch the 49ers.” That didn’t make sense considering we were actively asking for one TV to stay on the game we were already watching. His attitude was rude, dismissive, and unnecessary.

This isn’t the first time he’s acted this way either. The very first time I ever came here, Tony was also our bartender. He told us it was happy hour and asked what we wanted. I asked what was included in happy hour, and he responded like he didn’t want to answer and said “I don’t know.” I replied that if he works there, he should know or at least be able to provide a menu. I asked if there was a happy hour menu, and the owner had to step in and ask him to bring us one.

It’s honestly sad because the owner seems like a great gentleman and the atmosphere could be a great neighborhood spot, but the service we’ve received from Tony has been unpleasant enough that it makes us not want to return when he’s working.

On the other hand, Ginny has been amazing every time.. friendly, professional, and attentive. Thank you Ginny for your great customer service.

I hope the owner sees this and addresses it, because customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or dismissed for asking simple questions or requesting one TV out of three.

Every Saturday for brunch I take my client to meet his VA buddies. A rousing experience with these men, inspiring stories and the staff treat us like family. The food is always fantastic and they give you a LOT! Ask for a doggie bag. The only complaint is that it’s hard to hear each other because the tables are close together and it’s always packed with hungry diners!

I’ve been coming here for several years since they opened live in the area 20 years so I missed the old cardinal but they were nice replacement. Food is good quality service is good. The only reason I downgrade the atmosphere is because sometimes they’re are not booths available and I don’t necessarily like to always sit with people I don’t know at the tables. I don’t know if you’re OK with that when they’re full or if you’re OK with waiting for a booth that’s the only issue I have but service food is great. I will say prices have gone up a lot over the years, but most restaurants are the same.

I’ve been visiting San Jose for the last 2 months and only just discovered Jack Holder’s today and I’m so glad I did. My lovely waitress Maryam was amazing! All of the staff is attentive and friendly. I am a pancake connoisseur and I must admit that these were the.best.pancakes. ever! I wish I had taken a sideview pic of how thick they were and perfectly cooked throughout and perfectly golden brown. I spotted many items on the menu that I must try before I return to Chicago. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant!
