Enjoyed a large (14) group, Friday lunch. The waitstaff were efficient and kind enough to allow us to visit for 2 1/2 hours (with prior reservations, of course). Food was delicious and also enjoyed an Agave Skinny Margarita with Tajin. Highly recommend this well established Austin restaurant with multiple locations.

Stopped by on a Thursday late afternoon and was seated right away with no wait. The food overall was okay—my favorites were the smashed avocado appetizer and the blondie dessert. The other entrées were just average, and the 13-spiced chicken pasta had a bitter flavor this time, which was a bit odd. On the positive side, our server Bella was fantastic—knowledgeable about the menu, warm, and very friendly!

If you’re looking for a delicious meal, I highly recommend dining at Jack Allen’s Kitchen. The Pesto-Marinated Crab Stuffed Chicken was absolutely divine. The addition of crab and cheese took the dish to new heights. My friends enjoyed the Trout and Chicken Tacos as well. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

For our most recent visit, we stopped by for weekend brunch and the service, food and ambience were all impeccable.
I had the avocado toast and my husband enjoyed his burger with sweet potato fries. Food came out quick and hot. Our server was wonderful and she was so thoughtful to bring me hot water and top it off multiple times over the course of our meal because my throat wasn’t doing good.
There’s a reason why we keep coming back to jacks! So glad we live close by to this location!

I was surprised at how quick the wait for a table was on a Fridaynight. The food came out quickly and was delicious, I’ve never had such a tender chicken fried steak. Our waitress was helpful and patient with questions. I would suggest looking over the menu online before you go. The restaurant was also very clean, with staff cleaning tables as soon as the people had lost sight of the table. It’s timely but not pushy.

Excellent experience again! We had the fried catfish strips and barbacoa quesadilla for appetizers- yummy! We split the Chicken Fried NY strip for our entrée- it is so tender, it just melts in your mouth. The blondie pie for dessert was delicious too!

This is a great restaurant that specializes in Tex Mex and Southern comfort food. Prices are pretty reasonable, the ambience is laid back and relaxed, right in place with the mileau of Austin. Noah did a phenomenal job as my server, just starting out but had in depth knowledge of the menu, was polite and quick and very accommodating. A great place to host clients for a business lunch.

Food, good. Service, good. Immediately got a table upon entering the restaurant. Their bloody Mary mix isn’t winning awards. They seem to water down their mix, which, ew gross. Pricing seems to be on par with other restaurants.

We really enjoy their Sunday brunch that starts at 10AM. Friendly and attentive staff. A really good menu to choose from. FYI not all locations have the buffet. Call ahead to check before your expectations are not met.
