After reading all the rave reviews, I had such high hopes for this place. Just what I’d been searching for as far as the breakfast items available on the menu. Country breakfast, cooked to order. You will wait for your order and it could take some time in the line of vehicles and when you finally get to the window to place your order. Most people including myself do not mind the wait because you know your food is coming to you freshly made. I’ve made several trips here hoping that my first was just a off day. I think today will be my last. My last ordering an egg sandwich, over hard. I’ve ordered it each trip and every time the egg is no where near over hard. I don’t know what the problem could be because I hear the lady telling the cook “egg sandwich, over hard”. What I keep getting is a yucky, under cooked egg that makes me nausea. No thanks! I may give it another try another day with a different item but big disappointment and no breakfast for me today…
So…today I’m editing my review. I have tried their hamburger and the potato wedges and I thought both were quite tasty. My burger was thoroughly cooked which I appreciate and the wedges were battered. Yummy. Also, the Coke fountain drink was just right. It’s hard to find a place that actually has good fountain drinks. Not flat, carbonated. Just right. I’ll be going again soon.

Such a busy little place. The staff were super friendly and courteous. The decor is fun. And the food is quite honestly the best breakfast I’ve ever had from a restaurant. One lady in the back continually making biscuits from scratch. Any time we come near here again, we will definitely be going back.

Sweetest staff and fast hot breakfast they have so many options! You know it’s a great place when all the older locals meet up for breakfast here and everyone knows everyone who comes in! Definitely worth a trip in for some good food! (I’m from the north I put ketchup on my eggs)

Great food, great people, I would recommend this place to eat for a country style breakfast! There are a lot of options, and everything I’ve had from there has been good! So if you need another good breakfast spot give them a try!

This is my first time coming here and I will be coming back anytime I am in this area. I think this is probably one of the best biscuits I’ve ever had.

Really good burgers and fries. Ask for “fairy dust” if you want your fries seasoned.

I definitely like this place they have the best country breakfast in Dawson imo and the staff is always very nice. They know how to make sawmill gravy I def recommend getting some fried chicken with gravy and a biscuit!

First time coming, very quaint and inviting place. Only about 10 tables lots of people use drive through. Biscuit was good, cheese grits didn’t have any cheese flavor just plain grits. Sweet tea wasn’t too sweet, which is great to me. We’ll try it again. Looking for a new place since Big Reds closed without notice.
