We are a small family owned restaurant. We started out in Farmer Markets in 2017. Our current menu has traditional mexican food such as Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Enchiladas, Tortas and more. As you can see from the photos the produce was fresh and ripe. The guac was superb, as were the amazing fresh house made chips and salsa. The burrito bowl didn’t come with avocado or tomatoes, but I paid extra for them and I’m glad that I did, so delicious! The pollo in the burrito bowl was perfectly seasoned. We will most definitely be back. Our previous go-to was PorQueNo, but while they still have our hearts in terms of the decor and commitment to inclusion as well as yummy Mexican food, J & R Mexican Food is giving them a serious run for their money. Absolutely give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Delicious amazing food. Excellent customer service. Beautiful and clean environment. Pictured is a small veggie nacho and a horchata. The horchata was the best I’ve had. Definitely recommend. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. Oh and the prices are great. We fed 5 people, with non alcoholic drinks, for $65.

So happy to find this gem so close to home. Was not sure what to expect from this strip mall location, but was pleasantly surprised once we entered. Clean, cheerful atmosphere and friendly staff. Our food (tacos and empanada) were both generous and delicious. The handmade tortillas were amazing; soft and stretchy, but held up to the fillings. They offer 2 salsas (more sauce-like in consistency).A tangy green sauce and a spicier red. I usually go for heat, but I enjoyed both.

You really have to visit this little, tucked away secret. We almost missed it driving by. It’s in a little strip mall. The food is so very good it’s ridiculous!!! I wasn’t in the mood for meat and so I ordered a burrito bowl(veggie). I can’t tell you I didn’t even miss the meat it was so perfectly put together. Fresh, tasty ingredients! Staff was so friendly! Place is clean. Really enjoyed myself and will DEFINITELY be dining with them again.

Was less expensive than the menu initially listed. The flavor was good and portion was larger than I expected. I had a hard time finishing it all! I had the Al pastor burrito bowl. I loved that they don’t have the rice and beans in it so I didn’t need to ask them to remove it! lol

We were so impressed with the food! Authentic Mexican food is hard to come by and this place nails it!! Street tacos were amazing, and the rice and beans are some of the best I’ve ever had! Couldn’t recommend this place more. Not to mention the super friendly staff made it a wonderful experience.

The most respectable taco in the Oak Grove/Milwaukie neighborhood. The handmade tortillas are legit. Perfect taco size. Meats were all flavorful. Salsa verde was on point. The salsa roja had heat but held its flavor. The chips were very good quality. It looked like a family owned place with multiple generations helping out which I always love experiencing. Very unassuming store front in a strip mall and no advertising except for word of mouth this place is a gem. Their food speaks for itself and is excellent.
