I was exploring Fountain Inn and had heard this place had good burgers. It was in the afternoon on a Saturday and it wasn’t terribly busy. I decided to sit at the bar.
The employees were all very nice and kept checking on me. When my burger arrived it looked great and was simply huge. I started into it and it tasted great.
Why the 3 star review? I ordered the burger well done and it was practically raw other than the outside edges. Like red and you could pull the raw meat out of the burger. I had to stop eating it and later that evening my stomach was paying the price.
I told my server and acknowledged it wasn’t her fault and asked if I wanted something else. I declined. She ended up comping the meal even though I offered to pay.
It’s a nice place and they were all so friendly. I’ll go back and try them out again.

The food was large portions. Our server was very polite. My sweet potatoe fries came out cold and burned, the server did not question it and immediately replaced. ( those fries never should have made it out of the kitchen). The food was fabulous. My husband had the burger and he raved about it. Yes, there was a mistake about the fries, but it was corrected quickly. Why 4 stars? In my opinion a 5 star place would not have served burned fries to begin with. Facility could use a little maintenance. If I am paying $13 for a sandwich pay $5 for a table adjuster and don’t shove napkins under the table to level, it is tacky looking to be honest. Again the food was amazing and service was great. I would recommend and we will be back.

We decided to trade the craziness of Simpsonville for a quiet stroll along the main street of Fountain Inn. We stopped into J Peters for lunch we are so glad we did. The staff was very warm and accommodating. Our server Athena was a joy. Everything we ordered was delicious. The prime rib sandwich was huge! We will definitely come back.

Amazing food. I would have been fine with just the house salad. It was the best house salad I have ever had. The steak and sides were also amazing. Friendly wait staff, and a great atmosphere! Will definitely visit again!

Latest visit. Entrees came before salad. Had to ask for the salads. Ordered a dirty gin and tonic and they brought out a cosmopolitan. When I asked what it was the waiter said the other part was coming. I asked if he knew what a dirty gin and tonic was, I explained. The bartender was friendly and apologetic when she brought out the correct beverage. I asked for a box to take away the salad and received both the box and the bill. My wife was still eating her entree when the waiter came back and asked if the bill was ready for him. I asked for a manager. After 10 minutes the runner came out and asked if she could help. I asked if she was a manager and she said no, the manager was online. I told her I didn’t want to explain twice, but she could relay to the manager. I didn’t want anything comped, but wanted the manager to address the issues so nobody else went through the same issues. In the end, nothing resolved and we paid $52.11 with no tip. The first time in my life I didn’t leave a tip.
Nice place to go for good food. Serving size doesn’t disappoint. Friendly staff and management.

This is our 2nd time teying and it was delicious! Refreshing cocktails and delightful food. We had the prime rib which had excellent flavor! Looking forward to trying again!

We went early (6:00) to avoid the rush for Saturday night. It was already pretty busy. I love their salads! I could make a meal of the salad and one of the appetizers. We tried the “hot lava shrimp”. It was very good. We enjoyed our meal of flounder and shrimp. The service was also very good. We will definitely be going back!

The food quality is high and the service was outstanding. The Shrimp and Collard Greens were excellent but the Steak I ordered medium was closer to well done. I didn’t give them an honest try to correct it by asking for the replacement to be cooked Medium Rare. It wasn’t cooked enough for me. I’ll take the blame for that. I will come back someday and I believe I will have a great experience.
