We had a good dinner at JJ’s. It was our first time there. I had a chicken guacamole sandwich and my husband had a jalapeño burger. My sandwich was good, a nice portion of chicken and lots of guacamole. My husband said his burger was “solid” with nice beefy flavor. We both thought the onion rings were excellent. They had a great crunch.

The worst greasiest cheeseburgers ever. They served us a cheeseburger soaked in grease and it was running out of the patty like a waterfall when I stuck my fork into it. My wife and I split the burger, I took one bite and almost puked. My wife ate a little bit of hers and was nauseated by it. She got sick that night with the worst stomach ache and runs that whole night. I told the waitress I would pay for the fries and drinks but not that horrible burger. She refused to work something out and made excuses saying there was nothing wrong with that burger and insisted we pay for that horrible burger. I asked to talk to the manager and she said she couldn’t get a hold of anyone. We ended up paying for something really disgusting. I recommend you pass this place up and go elsewhere.

We have been going to this restaurant since we had breakfast at GG’s the first time about four years ago. We are from GA but once or twice a year we visit San Juan Bautista specifically to have breakfast . JJ’s has a wonderful breakfast menu, we have never had a bad meal. Now that GG’s and JJ’s have merged we will be back for burgers. Try everything, you will not be disappointed and JJ keeps your coffee cup full.☕

J.J.’s Burger in San Juan Bautista is so good! The burgers are juicy, Cooked to your preferance and made fresh , veggies were fresh although the bacon could of been cooked a bit longer, But I prefer my bacon crisper. It was a decent burger, but this time, I tried a few of their other dishes, and honestly, I was surprised at how good everything was! It’s the first time I’ve enjoyed another dish over the burger. I had the most flakiest evenly fried and balanced flavored shirmp I ever had; Served with some proper fries and specialty sauce My son had the Chicken strips, They were also cooked to perfection, an even distribution of breaded flake, Mouth watering and very tender, not dr or stale, but cooked thoroughly. My son finished it, which meant he loved it. Good amount of varies refreshments.
The vibe is super friendly and laid-back, perfect for a quick stop or a chill meal after exploring town. Waitress was above and beyond being helpful and easy going.Definitely one of those hidden gems you’re glad you found.

JJ’s the best place for Mexican Syle Breakfast! Haven’t had a breakfast this well made outside of my mother’s cooking. Ate breakfast there on Sunday, October 5 – wow! My fiancee and I were totally impressed! We were able to work out an arrangement with the Owner/Proprietor for a gathering in the cafe on a Friday night after our wedding practice. We ordered hamburgers and chicken strips. Food was excellent! I highly recommend JJ’s and plan to eat there on our next visit.

I don’t know about the burgers because we didn’t order any, but what we had didn’t seem home made. The fries weren’t for sure. The fish (& chips) was too oily. The chilly on top of the fries was really too much. We didn’t expect that.
Overall, it was ok, but too expensive for the quality of the food and for the location. The tables outside were nice, but the interior wasn’t very welcoming.
The service was quick and friendly.

JJ’s Burgers in San Juan Bautista is a hidden gem! What drew me in was the old-school café bar vibes since it’s been so long since I’ve sat at a classic bar that wasn’t a diner, and this place nailed it.
The burgers here are delicious and absolutely huge! You also get to choose any type of fries to pair with your burger at no extra charge with options like garlic fries, chili fries, onion rings, and more. I went with the chili fries, and they paired perfectly with my burger. To top it off, I ordered a cookies and cream milkshake, which, just like the burger, was massive and didn’t skimp on quality or flavor!
This family-owned spot has such a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff even shared a bit of the restaurant’s history with us which made the experience even better. Hands down one of the best burger joints I’ve ever tried. Highly recommend stopping by!

Food is legit good … we came hungry and spent $30 per but had two boxes of leftovers… had Jefe burger, tenders, garlic fries and chili cheese fries… recommend all. Only one indoor table open.

The Jefe burger was great!!! I loved every bite of that burger. I recommend getting a single patty on your first trip as they are 1/3 pound patties and I was satisfied with my single patty burger even though I am usually a double burger kind of guy.
The customer service was phenomenal and although I don’t usually tip when I have to go order the food myself at a counter and I am taking it home, I was impressed with the girl behind the counter so I left her a tip.
The chili cheese fries looked amazing, but the chili was kind of bland for my tastes, so I deducted one star.
I recommend giving them a try!!!
