I went here to try it out as I drive by all the time.
Clean restaurant. Les is friendly and funny.
I looked at the menu from their website before I went there. I decided on the Red Snapper Sandwich. The price was $ 9.99. Seemed like a value considering some fast food fish sandwiches cost the same.
But, when I went to order, I noticed the price was 50% more on the laminated menus on the counter. Looks like someone spent more time at the printer than on the website. I was already there and hungry, so I ordered anyway.
I chose fries plus an additional side of Red Beans and Rice.
The roll for the sandwich was fresh and warm. The fish was flaky and the slaw added enough flavor and crunch to give the sandwich a nice depth. For $ 15.00, I expected a little more. The Fries were average but no complaints. Red Beans and Rice looked great and were served hot. Unfortunately, they lacked flavor. I noticed a small piece of sausage and removed a bay leaf while eating. The beans need work. The bay leaf was no bother.
When I payed, the touchscreen put up a tip option with 15% as the minimum. This took place in front of the person who would be putting my order together. I typically don’t til a take order or just leave a dollar. I gave the obligatory 15 percent.
And surprise! There was an added on
$ 2.00 ghost charge I saw on my receipt.
At the end, I paid $ 25.00 for a sandwich plus a side of beans and rice.
I won’t likely be back. Too bad because this place has the potential to be a real draw on a regional level.

Red Snapper over cooked hard as a rock. Old fish.
Never seem Buffalo fish pieces that look like this. Suppose to 6 whole pcs. Not fresh. Wasted $43. Put in the waste bin.

If you’re looking for a unique dining experience. This charming local BBQ and Fish spot is far from your typical restaurant. While it might get a bit lively with some loud talking and kitchen noises, that’s just part of the lively atmosphere. It can get quite busy during peak times, which is a testament to its popularity.
One thing that sets this place apart is the sense of community and unity you’ll feel here. Expect a warm welcome from everyone, and appreciate the diverse representation of black and brown cultures coming together.
And let’s not forget about the mouthwatering Mac and Cheese! It’s an absolute must-try, bursting with delicious flavors that will leave you craving more. In the picture is the two meat BBQ combo plate.

The person taking our order was pleasant and friendly. They were also nice and gave us a sample of mashed potatoes and meatloaf. To me it was the best part of the meal. My wife ordered hot links and chicken. The chicken was average but had a good sauce. Hot links were terrible. I had catfish and chicken. I prefer a better crust but you can tell that the catfish was fresh. Sides were average. They had ran out of greens so we were both stuck with cabbage. Mac and cheese was cheesy but needed more seasoning.

The guys working here are friendly and funny. I enjoyed the camaraderie. I ordered the 2 ..2 meat combos. The person with me enjoyed the spare ribs and brisket. The sides were not that good. I’ll pass on the greens, blackeyes peas( they had weird after taste),and the yams were just okay. Definitely nothing to write home about. Straight out the can. I ordered the Mac N Cheese, and it was bland and missing the cheese (it’s only on top). The noodles were dry and bland.I I would also pass on the bake beans. Again, straight out of the can, and they added some kind of ground meat to it. Nothing special at all. My hot link could have stayed on the grill a little longer. It wasn’t done to me, but to eaches own. The Brisket was tender with just a little fat. The BBQ sauce wasn’t bad. The spicy isn’t really spicy and tastes way better than the regular sauce. Would I return… maybe for the BBQ, but most likely not!

Very expensive compared to what you actually get, and unfortunately you can tell sides were microwaved for reheat, the meat tough and cold on the inside, and all served with cold overly moist flavorless cornbread. The shrimp was like a ball of panko crumbs fried, without the shrimp It’s sad to wait almost 30 minutes for disappointing food. Don’t let the smell fool you upon entering, because that’s not what your gonna get

Food and service were great! I had two pork ribs with greens and macaroni and cheese. All three were very good. I noticed they all sorts of Obama stuff up, no biggie but I wonder if they would’ve served me if they knew I was a Trump supporter.

We were here in California visiting from New Mexico. We got a hotel and decided to order something to eat. We ordered two 10 piece wing dinners and a Snapper plate to be delivered. One of the wing dinners were supposed to be barbecue. When we received the order, there was no barbecue, both wing dinners were plan. When I called, he said, “Yea, I noticed I forgot the barbecue when the delivery driver left.” He then told me to come to the restaurant to get the sauce. I told him we were here visiting and asked if his delivery driver was coming this way. He said he didn’t know. He again ask ME to come pick it up. I told him forget it, we’ll just move on….This guy obviously knows nothing about business or customer service. By the way, some of the wings were overcooked while others were not fried long enough. The Snapper was very dry as were the fries. It seemed like the food had been sitting for awhile. We will not come back. Not to mention, we ordered $97.00 of food. You’d think we would have received better. This food is on the level of McDonald’s. If you’re expecting any type of standards, don’t bother.
