This is hands down the absolute best J&J Fish I’ve ever been to — and it’s not even close. The food is cooked just right every time, and the service isn’t just the best among J&J locations, it’s the best of any take-out restaurant in the neighborhood.
What makes this place truly special is the family behind it. For 25 years, they’ve been serving this community, and the moment you walk in, you feel it. They don’t just serve you — they welcome you. Ordered the fried catfish dinner combo with shrimp and okra. I suggest getting the catfish fried hard with lemon pepper. Food was delivered within 15 minutes of ordering and was still hot. Delish!

I ordered a large perch dinner which was absolutely HORRIBLE. Five (5) pieces of fish that was extremely small, little meat just battered skin that was hard a dry I couldn’t even eat it after paying $18+ dollars. I called and spoke to the owner (supposedly) who was VERY rude I offered to bring it back for a refund/Replacement but I was told it had to be tonight which was not an option for me. The owner hung up on me, I called back and spoke to another employee who was just as rude and arrogant. Definitely will NOT be returning EVER! I use to be a regular customer. Losing one customer might not seem like much to them but continue running your establishment the way you are and pretty soon you will have reap what you sow.

After returning 6 months after my original review, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Ordered grilled catfish and grilled shrimp with lemon pepper; COLD, BLAND and BURNED at the same time, which is a huge accomplishment in poor food and poor service.

After getting my food (small perch+fries) home and noticing that it had absolutely no seasoning (not even the lemon pepper that I requested), I called back to tell them about my dissatisfaction; the man completely disregarded my complaint and justified it by saying that they don’t add seasoning (no kidding). The perch was like eating fried air with hot sauce (the one hot sauce they gave saved the day). The fries were saturated in oil with no salt). I know JJs isn’t a Michelin star place, but their standards of food and service are low. If your standard is low, this is your place.

Ordered 10 wings fried hard. I said hard no old. They clearly gave me about 3 fresh wings and put them on top but the rest were clearly old. My mom has been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years. This family owned restaurant is very friendly and the food is always made to order, fresh, hot and accurate. We live 35 minutes away but look forward to stopping by when that fried jumbo shrimp craving hits.

The atmosphere is good the guys taking your order are very nice. Every time I go here though there’s something wrong with the food today I ordered gizzards and they were not clean at all. There was bile still on the gizzards and I didn’t notice of course until I ate them and spit it out. Restaurants have to do so much better with their cleanliness and serving to the public!

I ordered from this location via Uber Eats and was highly disappointed in the quality of the food. I asked for Carmel cake and received chocolate. I asked that my chicken be fried hard with lemon pepper and my chicken was undercooked and not seasoned. I will NOT be ordering again.
