I ordered chicken strips and fish fillets because I didn’t want bones to deal with or worry about. I got WINGS and fish fillets. I guess one out of two isn’t terrible?

I’ve going to J&J’s for a very long time, always friendly staff and always amazing food.
I moved 6 years ago a bit far from j&j’s, so i have been getting wings and fish elsewhere, but it’s never as good as J&J , for other wings places , I order 6 or 10 wings and I only get 6 half wings.
2 of my favorite things about J&J is when you order their 6 wings with fries for under $12, you get 6 whole wings , it’s like getting 12 wings at the half wing places, better deal with J&Js
You get what you pay for at J&Js , plus it’s always fresh and tasty.
I don’t usually recommend places, but I would DEFINDEFINITELY recommend everyone go at least try J J’s once , i bet you’ll be back for more.

Made a large purchase of their 30 wings and fries special, just to get a pan full of old fried chicken, with feathers cooked and intact. The feathers were literally the size of my short braid, which is long as my fingers! They just cooked it and served it up. With feathers that long, there’s no way the chicken had been cleaned! Gross! Had to request a refund! Just awful. Mouth full of feathers and fine hairs! Needs an inspection ASAP.

Customer service was terrible! I don’t know if the guy at the register was deaf or what but he mumbled the whole time !! I ordered 2 catfish 4 wings meal! Fish and chicken just taste like grease! The “whole wings” were the size of the onion rings !! Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Ended up trashing after picture!
The owner responded to my review! And said “ he could make a plan for a year but I couldn’t make a plan for a meal !! but I run my own traveling food business and I would never serve the junk he is serving !

My hubby and I went in today. The two cute men that work there were so friendly and I just felt at home.I ordered the fried wings and it came with fries.I also got fried okra.Everything was hot and fresh.My hubby got the fried Mac n cheese. He also tried the chicken nuggets.This place made me feel at home and they were just so nice and kind.I will be coming back.Thank you guys for making two Texans feel right at home.

This is one of my favorite fad school places to get chicken, just because there were a few places that actually changed their grease on a regular basis. They’re not rude and obnoxious, they don’t try to overtake you and they do not rush me when I take my time. I love that about them no matter how long the line is.

Alright alright alright – in my Matthew McConaughey voice! This place does fried fish, chicken, and French fries special! The outside and the inside of this establishment most likely won’t impress you. In fact, based off looks alone you might pass this place over for an esthetically pleasing corporate eatery near by. With that being said I encourage you to disregard those initial urges and venture into this little hole in the wall for an amazing fried food feast! Now if you know anything about fried chicken and or fish, you have to eat it fresh out the frying pans, you can order “to-go”but you’ll lose some of that crunch. Like a good Ol’ fish fry at family BBQ, be patiently waiting for your order and taste it while it’s piping hot! The hot sauce is excellent and the speed of service is consistent (I waited no more than 15 min for catfish fillets, chicken wings, and crispy French fries each time I dined). Again don’t judge this book by its cover, just attempt to eat everything you ordered while it’s steaming out the styrofoam containers. you may want to bring your own drinks (no alcohol, be respectful) and I can only endorse the catfish, wings, and fries because that’s all I order when I make my mandatory stop at JJ’s in St. Paul!

I ordered a large cod dinner the fish was crispy on one side, and under cooked rubbery on the other, plus the fries were stuck together in a clump. The cook had his cellphone in one hand constantly talking, and cooking with the other the whole time.
