This is by far the best JJ Fish in the city of Chicago!! The food is consistently fresh, and the staff is welcoming. I also came in to place an order on Super Bowl. Although it was busy and wait times for some were longer than usual… the staff maintained professionalism and supported customers as quickly as possible. I’d recommend this location to anyone!

I went there on Christmas Eve, going there since they been there….live like 10 minutes away I ordered 50 chicken wings. I was told going to be a long wait, I was fine with that. Chicken wings was not eatable cooked IN BURNT GREASE . I called back that evening. They gave me runaround couldn’t believe I called back the next day. They talk to me so bad I would never go back there again. I’m still in shock because I’ve been going through there for a long, long, long time. They are wonderful. They were wonderful. 8 Piece Buffalo Wings and Fries…. FIRE!!! Nice staff, food only took 15 minutes, and came out piping hot, crispy, and delicious. The coleslaw was a nice balance to a great buffalo sauce. Large amount of food for the price. Next time I stop in the area, would probably order the exact same thing.

Don’t tell me my order will be ready in 20-25 mins and it takes 43 mins! It appears they didnt drop the order until we arrived, which is dumb if you allow phone orders. I would’ve gone somewhere else.
Fish and shrimp were good but they didn’t include the coleslaw even when they asked if we wanted it. No Lemon pepper. Wings overcooked. My partner was so upset, he said he’d never go back.

I sat and observed the guy answering phones, taking orders in-person, and remembering everything. He is a phenomenal multitasker and his memory is amazing while balancing so many tasks. I had jj fish on December 27th about 6pm. I always get my catfish from this location 109th western, and it was always great! However, yesterday the fish was dry and there was more skin than actually meat. I mean it was almost no meat, just skin. The fish was cooked in burnt grease I could taste it. I have never had this problem but I haven’t been here in about 5 months. I won’t be back, but I hope it gets better.
