This was the worst I have ever had catfish fillets that are not catfish actually it’s frozen so Swai and they never have catfish steaks. J&J has went down over the years and now they will never receive any more money from me. And this is for the one at 87th and Damien and any other ones, just sad

I had read a couple of bad reviews on this restaurant, but I decided to give it a try anyway. And to my joy and happiness, the crew was friendly and professional AND my order was perfect. The Catfish steaks and fillets were fried perfectly, crisp on the outside and delicate on the inside. Thanks guys for a great experience. I guess this goes to show that you have to judge for yourself.

The food was inedible. I ordered the chicken special (2 wings, 2 thighs, 2 legs) and catfish nuggets. The guy on phone was rushing and even though I said don’t fry it hard a couple of times, the catfish was a brick, cold and looked like it had been refried more than once. The chicken was black to the bone.
Not sure what happened-new cook, new management- but it has turned me off this location.

**Review of J&J Fish**
I recently had the chance to dine at J&J Fish, and my experience was quite underwhelming, especially considering the prices.
The menu offered a decent variety of fish dishes, and I decided to try the fried catfish. While it was fresh and crispy, I have to say it didn’t quite impress me. The seasoning was quite bland, and I expected a bit more flavor for the price I paid.
Speaking of prices, I found them to be on the higher side for what you get. I was hoping for portions that would justify the cost, but they felt a bit lacking.
In summary, J&J Fish has potential, but it left me feeling that the experience didn’t live up to the hype or the cost. If you’re craving seafood, it might be worth checking out, but be prepared for prices that don’t necessarily match the quality.

I was looking on the menu for the Philly cheese steak, I want to know how much it costs . Went here and grabbed a 6 piece chicken the food was terrible and under cooked, the guy cooking was informed about the last 6 piece. The chicken wasn’t cooked and that I would return it for my money back. So, before I left the store I checked the chicken and it was not cooked properly. The Mexican guy cooking doesn’t know how to cook chicken or fish.
They don’t care about the food that is served to the customer.
If you are hungry, AVOID this place. Also they aren’t changing the cooking oil often enough.
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Those guys know how to fry fish right!!! Nice and flaky, not hard like chicken like those other places do!! I will be back!
