I ordered a 7-inch pizza, so I expected it to be small — that part was fine. However, I did ask for extra cheese, and honestly it didn’t look like there was any more cheese on mine than on the regular pepperoni pizza. That was a little disappointing.
The bigger issue was the crust. It came out pretty burnt and hard, which made it tough to enjoy. The flavor wasn’t bad overall, but the overcooked crust and lack of noticeable extra cheese took away from the experience.
Not terrible, just not what I was expecting. Hoping it was just an off night.

Amazing! Best pizza in Lakeland hands down! Service is great. Food is always fresh and perfect. Atmosphere is relaxing. Clean. With a lot of open space and ample lighting.

I love that J. Burns offers a cauliflower crust. I recommend either the Chicken Club or the Chicken Bacon ranch.

Welcoming atmosphere. We were quickly greeted by Naomi who took our order. She’s very friendly and came to the table to check on us and asked how it all was. Food was very good. We both got the lunch special, small pizza, garlic jnots or sode sald and a drink, which left me full and a great deal for the money. I would highly recommend and will be back again soon.

Had the BBQ chicken. Pizza is like gourmet style. Made exactly how I wanted it. Doesn’t make you feel greasy afterwards. Great customer care. Highly recommend.

Delicious, Crispy pizza. The only thing I didn’t love was how small the pieces of the sausage were. It’s more like sausage sprinkles. However, it was still awesome and we will be back. The place was nicely decorated and had a good ambience as well.

Pretty good local pizza place. Their crust is thin and crisp but not like cracker crust. The cafeteria style seating was more comfortable than expected. Our Club sandwich was toasted but not warm in the middle.

J. Burns is a quaint and off the map pizza parlor! This isn’t your run of the mill pizza place, it’s really got some class and character, and I love it.
They offer sub sandwiches as well as pizza, which looks great but I did not try. They have a 7” pizza option which is basically personal pan size and a perfect amount for the average person to eat on their own. I really appreciated that option because most places don’t do that.
The workers were very nice and I was pretty impressed with J. Burns overall. Some of my friends had told me about this place several times and they are actually regulars here (like eat once a week or more haha) and I do now understand why. It’s worth the try!

Great food, service was ok. The young man that took my order could care less, or so it seemed. I accidentally spilled my sweet tea and immediately asked for a mop or something so I didn’t use a ton of napkins (they didn’t absorb anything). He did bring me towels and sort of left. As I cleaned up, the young man (who had glasses) came over and offered to finish cleaning.
We went back to food pizza was a little undergone but good. If I had felt like the first man cared a little more, they would have got five stars, but the attitude from the beginning sucked. Good food could be better service especially since they weren’t busy.
