Sorry for the late rating, I’m still recovering from the deliciousness! Best BBQ in Hampton’s roads, end of discussion. You’ll regret going anywhere else. Food is phenomenal and the service is spot on. Had a great time getting to know the owner and his story, will 100% be back and telling everyone that will listen!
For reference… I had gotten the ribs, pulled pork, jerk chicken, and all of the sides. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned like only a man who has been cooking BBQ for decades knows how to season.

Smelled the bbq on the way to get my car washed made a u turn and decided to try what they had. Best potato salad I have ever had!!! Ordered the rib dinner and the smell was driving me nuts on the way home. The ribs are some of the best I have had in the area, only place in my opinion with better ribs is rib City and it’s not by much, although the ribs here are much more meaty so that may be a win. I can not wait to go back and try the chopped pork, chicken, and hot sausage.

This food is prepared with love and experience. My husband and I truly enjoyed our meal last night. The ribs, chicken, and pulled pork sandwich was everything we needed. The potato salad, mac n cheese, grilled cabbage, and baked beans were a great addition. Can’t wait to return.

I decided to stop by J.A’s Bangin’ Ribs & BBQ and just sample some of the ribs I smell every time I ride by. Little did I know I would meet the owner, his wife and their son. It was truly a blessing. They are great people who have a great spirit about what they do in the catering profession. Jay is an awesome guy who I felt like I’ve known for years. His wife has a lovely spirit about her and their son has an infectious smile. I just fell in love with them. I’m big on customer service and customer experience. They are the epitome of excellence. I had to share that part of my visit first. Now on to the food. Simply put “finger licking good…. I mean my God the ribs are truly “BANGIN”. Please stop by if you can on the corner of Holland rd and Lynnhaven PKwy. They are simply awesome people serving delicious food!!!!

Have u ever been so happy u don’t even know where to start? Yup!!! That’s where I am right now!!!! This family is one of the most underrated BBQ families in the 757! Ok so the food is outstanding! I KNOW GOOD FOOD! This food was GREAT!!! I had some of everything. I had beef ribs, pork ribs, pulled pork and ALL the sides. This is some of the best food I have had in a longggggg time. This family has been faithful to the gift God has placed in them and it is DEFINITELY THEIR SEASON TO STEP UP AND STAND OUT!!!! And yes I will be there next week for my next bbq fix!!!!!

OH. MY. GOSH!! FINALLY stopped today and I am SO glad we did! The ribs are HUGE! The sauce…amazing. Collards…the truth! Potato salad, mac & cheese, beans..bomb! We are DEFINITELY stopping again in the near future. I havent had take out food that good in a loonngg time. And for it to be just so smokey good was ridiculous. Thank you JA’s! We love you all and appreciate you being up since 3 a.m. to bring us that delicious food. I’m making sure EVERYONE knows about you all. Love ~Charlie’s Angels~

Mannnnnnnn… When I tell you this food is good…Hunnyyyyyy, it’s no lie. I ran across this place last year and they do not disappoint. I LOVE RIBS so that was a easy sell for me BUT CABBAGE, CABBAGE is not my favorite on a regular basis. THIS IS THE BEST CABBAGE I HAVE EVER HAD. When I order food from there, I’m not sharing, not even with my kids ( don’t judge me lol). Their food is sooo worth it.

My granddaughter and I visited J.A’s Bangin’ Ribs today. Little concerned since it was 90 degrees outside and I had this desire for pork bar b que. Sampled the pork bar b que. It was a different taste but flavorful. Saw ribs prepared from the grill and they look delicious. Not in my budget today but hopefully it will be Sunday dinner soon… Owners helpful in the products served ….prices reasonable for the grilled cooked meats……will patronize the business again….

wow, Hubby just brought some home on his way back from the store and it has so much flavor! I’m not much of a meat eater (but he is) and I almost devoured what he brought home. Ribs and pulled pork to die for. Great job!

Mr J.A. not only makes a tremendously delicious smoked turkey, but he helped me out immensely.
After our plans for Thanksgiving got trampled and thrown out the window we were stuck without a turkey. When all other places told me they were no longer taking orders for turkeys, Mr J.A. said “don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.”
Boy did he! His smoked turkey not only is the best I’ve had, but it’s moisture and taste lasted until we were able to reheat the turkey for our dinner 3 DAYS AFTER PICKUP. (Plans don’t really exist, do they?)
All I can say is he is a man who took pride in his work and customer service and i will happily do business with him again.
