This was our first visit here in 13 years. We weren’t overly hungry so we just stuck to entrees during this visit. Both myself and my husband ordered the filet with smashed potatoes and grabbed an extra side of Mac n cheese to split. My steak was cooked exceptionally well (med rare). However my husbands was a little under done and still cold in the center. The kitchen threw it back on and got the temp to where it needed to be, however it was just completely dried out after that. The manager Kevin took care of that on our bill, so no problems there. My steak was cooked great and the flavor was really good. Only complaint after that is that they do no rest the steaks. Your plate should never be covered in myoglobin after cutting into it. The steak goes completely dry after the first cut. So in my opinion, not super worth $45. If they could fix that issue, we’d gladly be back.

We go to J. Alexander’s a few times a year and they never disappoint us! The food and service are always great! We tried their Deviled Eggs for the first time and we enjoyed them! I got the chicken platter and my husband got the ribs and both were delicious! I could go on and on about their carrot cake but I will just say…ORDER IT! This restaurant can get a little pricey very fast but it is a solid option if you’re not sure where to dine! You do need reservations, so be mindful of that.

We had a great time hanging out at this restaurant! If you’d wanna go fancy for a night, this is an ideal place to go. The ambience was elegant, servers were friendly, jolly, helpful and welcoming. Food was better than expected, but definitely on the pricier side. We don’t mind paying more if the food is good, we enjoyed our time here.

Brittany is one of the best servers ever! From the moment we walked in through our entire dining experience she was absolutely perfect! I am a coffee freak and this lovely lady steamed my creamer so my coffee would stay warm! Our food was delicious, warm and fresh…and yes, we had dessert! Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

The food was great. It was fresh and flavorful. Today’s special included a potato soup, topped with bacon and cheese. It was highly peppered/seasoned, which my husband enjoyed. The chicken was flavorful and tender. My husband enjoyed an amazing burger and loaded potato. The staff was friendly and attentive. Only marking it down a star because for the price of the restaurant, we anticipated it to be a bit cleaner. The menus were sticky. And while the interior of the restaurant was incredibly dark, along the outer seating it was brighter and the sides of the booths were noticeable. We would go back if we are in the area again as the quality of the food was good.
