Appetizers were too good. We had steak roll and the chips and queso. Both were highly recommended. Drinks (cocktails and wine)were pretty decent. Entree – steak was brilliant, fried chicken was too good and the salmon was spot on. Price is on the higher side. So please be mindful on that. Service was very good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service and Delicious Food!
We had such a wonderful experience at J. Alexander’s, thanks to our amazing server Laura! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible — the chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and flavorful, the burger was huge, juicy, and had that perfect crunchy bite, and the salad with homemade croutons was honestly to die for. You can really taste the freshness and care in every dish.
Laura made our 2 year anniversary extra special with her warm personality and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back soon and will be asking for her again!

Good food, relaxing atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt. Food is good, not great. I would eat here again. Fries were good. Baked potato tasted different than what we are used to, not sure why but still eatable. Burger was very good, so was the kebab meat!

Food is always so good here. Everytime we try something new, it is always very good.
Atmosphere is quite and semi-private feeling.
This place is very worth it!
I couldn’t get everything photographed before everyone ate half the plate….LOL, it’s so good!

My friend and I went to this place for a late birthday dinner. It was both our second time ever going there. This time, though, the service was terrible. Our drinks were not refilled, our waiter was gone most of the time, and to top it off, when they brought out the birthday cake in the end, there were no utensils with it. The whole thing was terrible, to be honest. Never going to this place again.

Food was just ok warm not hot. Had the filet mignon with loaded potato and steak and fries. We were not told about the happy hour at the bar before seating. I asked 3 associates and none of them knew other than you have to sit at the bar to participate in happy hour.. eventually I was given the happy hour menu.
S-Thursday 3-6. 3 appetizers and cocktail and wine specials and only in bar area. Unfortunately, tonight there was a bit of commotion and screaming when a mouse ran under a parties table and the server was chasing it down. A few people left. Nothing was said by management to the level where we were where it all went down..seemed to just ignore the event other than addressing the one table. Soooo will have to serious consider if I will try dinner here again. Headed to rusty bucket for whiskey Wednesday to try and recover this night! Ps we were sitting across from the other reviewer so happy they did something for you wish we had said something we just left food on table after our 2 bites 🙁

My boyfriend and I went there for Valentine’s Day dinner yesterday. My boyfriend made reservations for that night. We walked in and was told J Alexander’s was 45 minutes behind with RESERVATIONS. We were taken back because we thought, what was the point of a reservation? We waited for over an hour standing waiting for a table. We were finally seated and the waiter Josh took our drink and appetizer orders. Josh seemed unprepared and unfocused. I waited a while to get just a straw for my drink. The queso and spinach dip appetizer was fairly good. We did ask Josh for more chips and without even looking to see if they still had some, he automatically told us “there wasn’t anymore, but he would check. ” Well, finds out they did have more chips. When we were served our steaks and baked potatoes, we both cut into them and my boyfriend’s steak was rare-we both ordered medium rare. My steak was cooked medium rare though. When we both bit into the steak it lacked any seasoning, not even salt. I can safely say, this was the worst steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was almost as if they just cooked the steak and just put it on the plate with butter on top, no salt or even pepper. My baked potato was crunchy. I don’t think the potato had enough time to cook. Baked potato should never be crunchy on the inside. I asked for A1 sauce, which I don’t usually ask for if it is a good steak and Josh forgot to get the A1 sauce. I was left waiting a while for that. My boyfriend’s steak had to be sent back and his potato was cooked better than mine. Overall, we understand with Valentine’s Day restaurants get crazy but at least make people aware that reservations do not matter at that point, so if people have other plans and need to stick with a time schedule, that’s common courtesy. The food wasn’t the standard of where it should be. If we are going to pay $48 each for steak and potato at least season and make sure your baked potatoes are cooked correctly. Lastly, please make sure your waiters are more prepared and focused. We will not be returning.

I will not be back. Lets me start with our server was AMAZING! Cora was the best! However, we were out celebrating my sister’s birthday. We get our food after a while, and the manager, Aaron, comes out and says “you can’t be smoking out here guys, i can smell it and a server told me.” OFCOURSE we were not smoking in the restaurant, that’s ignorant. So he comes back after 3 minutes and we then ask him where that came from, and do he smell it? He said, “no not at all”. I then ask, why not come see for yourself or even ask your paying guests first before accusing us. He apologized which at this point didn’t mean much. Our entire moods and atmosphere was RUINED. After Cora worked so hard to celebrate with us, take our picture, and make sure we were good. Ofcourse we eat in semi silence after being profiled, and still paid for our meals after tipping Cora nicely. This was very disheartening. I would never return. Sad too cause the food was great and the drinks too. Thanks Cora!!
